I'm sure this topic is covered somewhere here but thought I'd ask again. Do you guys use one or two hands to pump? I'm 15 months post op with a Coloplast Titan. I love my implant but the only downside is it takes both hands to fully engorge. I'm a pretty strong guy with good grip strength. I've figured out a two handed technique grasping the pump between the thumb and first two fi gers on my right hand and covering those with my left thumb pad and four fingers.
It would be so great to be able to pump fully with one hand.

Re: One or two handed pump?
I usually pump with one hand. When i get to around 20 pumps, the bulb is rock hard and can’t compress further, I use two hands and can completely press bulb. I think the reservoir is empty.
I have an AMS implant.

Re: One or two handed pump?
With the Titan pump you really need 2 hands. Did you ever Experience inflating and the pump pops out of your grip ? Hurts like hell. I use 2 hands.
Re: One or two handed pump?
Yup, I use both hands. Had the bulb slip out of my grasp one too many times trying with just one hand.
I use pretty much the same technique as armygolfer. Keep my index fingers bent to form a pocket the bulb lays in then use my thumbs to press. Always try to position the bulb in a different area on my sack every time too.

Re: One or two handed pump?
I used 2 hand before my repair just 2 weeks ago. I held my pump from moving buy grabbing my tubing just as it attaches to the pump with my week hand and using my index and middle fingers and the pad of my thumb on my strong hand. I can use my strong hand alone for some of the early pumps but as the bulb becomes more difficult to depress I have to as others posted have my weak had hold the pump so it does not shoot out. Early on I did need to use both hands on the bulb to get that first hard fast squeeze to pop the valve from deflate to inflate mode. The bulb has softened over time and this was not an issue.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

Re: One or two handed pump?
Anyone tried hand/arm exercise to increase pump ability. Figure muscles go downhill as I get older.

If you don't have arthritis you could get some hand exercise balls used for PT. They are a gel rubber and come in different firmness levels, each with a different color.
I got them from quickmedical.com in April 2011 when I was recovering from tenosynovectomy surgery. The standard size is $13.67 each.
They have options from "Extra Soft" to "Extra Firm". Mine have a different color than the ones available now (as seen in the photo below. The current color scheme is:
EXTRA SOFT: YELLOW (I didn't buy)
SOFT: RED (Mine was orange)
MEDIUM: GREEN
FIRM: BLUE
EXTRA FIRM: BLACK (Mine was purple)

Re: One or two handed pump?
I'm an LGX one hander. But I seldom fully pump. No need to. I just crouch slightly while pulling the pump up tight against the boys and then go for it. It's easy to trap the pump between my three fingers. My thumb on top to squeeze, next finger at the end to trap tight and the third finger in its side underneath to push against. I have my pump very low in the scrotum and sideways pointing away from my hand. Just perfect for me.
