Went in for the 2 week checkup after my repair. Perforation was fixed and they did a lot of pushing from the outside where my reservoir was and this did cause me as much or maybe a bit more discomfort from my first surgery. I have left everything alone just cleaning and wound care not wanting to screw anything up. Nurse said every thing look good and to just clean with soap and water from now on. But did say to pull down on the pump every day. She deflated a bit more. I need to fine a girlfriend like her that can inflate and deflate me. I am still nervous about exploring and feeling around much. Pulled down a bit today. The pump is a lot higher. It was really low with my first and would twist around and I could move it anywhere I wanted to inflate. It is high enough now i will need to learn a new grip to grab the lines of the valve block. $ weeks to activation and maybe pulling down will help that. Difficult to get above the block to pull it down but I will figure it out. Just need to avoid the deflate button as I don't want to grab on it. Don't want the distill tips any lower than they are.

I was also told by my surgeon to pull down on the pump. Mine is little high, but easy to access the bulb and deflate button. Keep pulling gently.

I have read of others with the pump sticking to different things. One of the testicles ect. But they always seem to work loose with time. I really liked my very low pump of the past. This higher one is going to take some getting used to. Gives great access and could move it around to places that were not painful to inflate. Might think about just asking to break it loose. You are having your reservoir replace and reposition IIRC and it will most likely keep you cycling or have less down time from cycling if the doctor doesn't go into you scrotum again with another incision. He may not want to do so for a while anyway. Take care and best of luck to you.

Mine is a lot higher than before. Very difficult to get up above the valve block to grab the tubing as I did before.. I did grab the bulb to pull down but it pumped a bit and popped and pumped some fluid in. Doc said I was inflated to about 50% after surgery. Doc said nothing about pulling down nor did discharge instructions. In the checkup the nurse said she deflated some and that was noticeable. She said to pull down on the pump. I had not do anything other than wound care to that point. Her notes state she deflated 50% so I must have been in deflate mode and now am in inflate mode. I had been wearing tight underwear for swelling and to try to keep my penis to the left as it was bandaged after surgery. This was I thought to help with my glans hypermobility as the doctor indicated what I have been trying to do for the last 2 and a half years and move my left cylinder tip from a very low 4 o'clock up and to the middle of my glans. And hopefully get the right tip in the glans away from my urethra. He said post surgery he was going to write this out but there was nothing in my discharge instructions and when I messaged his office there was no information give either just keep it the way it was post op. Seems there is not a lot of information sharing. And the check up by the nurse was just a straight forward follow up for a penile implant. Seems the nurse had no information that I had surgery for a perforation or my other problems. The follow up was very thorough and well done had this just been a straight forward implant but seemed to me to just be cookie cutter and did not address my repair surgery in which the only the left cylinder and pump was removed and the perforation identified and a suture sling used to place the cylinder back where it should be. The nurse seemed to have no knowledge at all of this when I asked the location of the perforation. Well, so far so good. Just have to see in a little over 3 weeks for my activation office visit.

Hi newbie, my pump was quite high after surgery. I was advised to pull down on the pump once or twice a day. I put the ends of my thumbs on top of the pump block and gently pushed down. This would get the bulb down against my scrotum. I had to do this daily for around 2 months. The pump now sits permanently as low as it could go.
Cheers boots.

Well that is the thing. I have trouble getting up above the valve block. Only way I can pull or push down on the pump is to grab the bulb. I was a wake during the surgery and while I felt no pain I could feel them pushing on my abdomen pushing on the reservoir. I never complained about pump location but it seems the doc did this on his own. And I did want problems with my right cylinder checked out which it seems he did not do. I have read published information on this that many doctors have trouble understanding that access by the patient is much different than access by them. They can reach up underneath and have access that the patient cannot as we have to go from the top and front. Not happy at all he did this. The pain afterwards to my reservoir is not much of an issue other than it was insult to injury with the new trouble. Seems I just had one problem traded for another and others ignored. I was up in the air on this as the doc has a 6 week wait time for activation and when I talked to one of his patients over 3 years ago I was told I would have size loss pre vs. post op. Figured with already having an implant that would not be an issue but I will see on that. I was jsut really worried the unsecured cylinder would cause another perforation and I would get infection.
Oh well. Time will tell. But so far I just can't get any good luck with this.
