Extreme pain - post op one week

Postby WillyWonka22 » Thu Apr 22, 2021 2:16 pm

Hello friends,

I have been posting in a separate thread about my op and recovery. However I need help from anyone who may have tips or tricks...

Days 1-4 post op were showing great progress. Now, it’s day 7 and somewhere around the day 5 mark, I went from walking more and feeling progress, so extreme pain and feeling like my crotch has been lit on fire.

Made an appointment with the doctor and he said zero signs of infection, zero signs of problems. But this pain that started around day 5 is excruciating and there is no way to sit or lay that provides relief. Has anyone experienced this?

Description of pain:

Laying on my back, makes it just hurt
Walking is like a countdown, two minutes from unbearable pain
If anything touches the penis, even blankets moving on the bed... oh boy
Ice provides some relief, very temporary

Perhaps ask for a Gabapentin prescription, it helps with nerve pain. My urologist prescribes this for pain after implant. He also said that young men tend to feel more pain as they high more sensitivity in their genitals.

Are you still inflated? If so, deflating would help tremendously as well based on accounts I have read.

That’s great you’re still able to cycle so soon after. Makes me happy to hear as I love motorcycles and have mine just sitting patiently in the garage!

I'm assuming this was a tongue-in-cheek comment.

Just in case, you were aware that "cycling" means inflating and deflating the implant to stretch the penis, right?

Ok, 2nd implant pain is 10% of the 1st implant. Bruising is almost gone 2 weeks post op. Ice packs got me thru the 1st implant and now just take Motrin here and there. But 1st implant was a bitch. Are you taking Motrin? Icing the areas? But the big question, how inflated are you? You body has to adapt to the implant, where a revision there is already space for it. In both implants I only took 2 OxyContin. I have chronic constipation and can’t risk straining.

I’m not too sure to what extent I’m inflated to. Definitely on the lower end as my penis is t full or firm overall.

Doctor thinks I may have a slight allergic reaction to the medical prep used.

Besides Ice of often as you can refill the ice bag.... If you've no oxycontin, look up the maximum dosage for each over the counter pain relief. Drug interactions, side effects and your medical history.

My Doc had me on 800mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours + Gabapentin. Your Doctor should be your first Pain control point of contact. That's is HIS JOB. Make it his problem. this is UNSAT!

Best of luck dealing with your pain.
