Re: People with kidney issues!!
I have had a high B/C ration for over 10 years and my primary care doctor took me off of NSAIDS. But those are really good to help with swelling. I have been on Tylenol exclusively for years. NSAIDS are processed out of our body through the kidney's and Acetaminophen through our liver. I did take a 1/2 dose of each together following my first surgery and it worked well both for pain and swelling. You might want to ask your doctor though as your condition may be worse than mine. The only other thing is that they may monitor you following surgery in recovery for kidney function. Took a bit of time for my kidneys to "wake" up after anesthesia and start working so I could pee to leave. But do what you can to stay as healthy as you can. Keep on top of any chronic medical conditions and exercise and eat healthy. Get as good as you can get prior to surgery and continue what you can through recovery. It will pay off in quicker healing. Good luck.
