I'm currently on the injections therapy path, and am worried about needing an implant someday.
I'm still rather young and love exercising. How long would I need to stop working out if I got an implant?
I do a lot of hiking and running. Can implants handle this? Do you feel something foreign in there, jostling around? Will all that friction make an internal problem more likely?
I'm worried implants may have been designed for the lifestyle of a man in his 70s, and not be designed for an active man in his 40s.
Any bionic guys go for daily runs?

Might need an implant someday - what about excercise?
44, ED problems began around age 28 when I was on finasteride for hair loss, and also got circumcised so I lost a lot of sensation. Pills gave me bad headaches and other side effects. Now using trimix 30/1/20. So far so good.

Good questions, I'll give you my opinions. YMMV.
I'm far older than you, but have stayed active. I got my implant at age 67, over 2 years ago.
I started walking 4 miles a day on the 5th day after surgery. I was cleared to lift weights as long as I was without pain after a week, but told to be careful for a while. I started playing racquetball after 3 weeks, though I was careful not to lunge too hard or dive for balls. FWIW, my doctor allowed use of the implant for sex at week 3, though I was too sore to enjoy it fully until about the 6th week. By 3 months I had no trouble at all with any activity. I hike, bike, ski, and play racquet sports. Biking was probably the most problematic. I had to buy a new bicycle seat that gave a little more room for the "boys".
The extra weight in your sack and your dick (the cylinders weigh more than the spongiosa they replace) will be noticeable for a while, but not restricting once you are healed. I actually like the feel.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Good luck with your decision.

I also had a similar question in my mind.
After about 6 weeks of my surgery, I tried to do some pushups, but felt a little pain in the reservoir area. So, I stopped. Would the muscles movement affect the reservoir or dislocate it?

Re: Might need an implant someday - what about excercise?
Did not exercise for 6 weeks after surgery. Returned to gym light weights and avoided situps/crunches and leg exercises. I have been gradually increasing my weights and will gently resume stomach and leg exercises at the 3 month mark after surgery, (april 15th).
Also have resumed bicycling and have no problems there, 1 hour circuit. I am aware of the implant when out on the bike.
Taking due care after your surgery I dont think you will have any problems with resuming your exercise if you allow time to heal properly. Gently does it.

Hi there, do you have post finasteride syndrome?
I'm the same age and on the route getting An implant. Do you also have curvature to the left or Hourglass shape since the hairloss drug?
I think working out or any other sports would be no problem. I read about doing all kind of sports, inclusive MMA, heavy weightlifting, running ect.
Good luck

Yes I think I may have PFS. I started having ED soon after using finasteride, but I was also circumcised around the same time, and that probably helped make the problem worse since I lost so much sensitivity from the surgery.
I do have a curve to the left that seems to be getting worse from injections. Is that a trademark sign of PFS?

Yes, penile deformities are a noted side-effect. While a curvature to the left in no official trademark, supringly much users report a curvature to the left

Yes, what about basketball? But it requires a lot of moving, up and down lateral and horizontal movements
