Revision

Postby Biker60 » Sat Mar 20, 2021 12:04 am

Well my coloplast titan and pump. Failed on Monday’s. Dr will be back on Monday. Kind of want this replaced sooner then latter. Tubing that I could feel in my left groin going to reservoir is not there. It seems the reservoir may have moved as well. I actually think the pump did not fail. I think the left cyclinder failed. I have swelling about the pubic bone on the left. When I did inflate at one point I felt a tube in the groin get hard. Complained about this to the Dr the past year. Well, pump won’t pump and penis is pulling to the left. Any chance the left cylinder fell off its end tips? The first date for replacement is like 4/30. Kinda want it sooner. How long did you guys way for the revision?

Sorry to hear about your trouble. You are lucky this did not happen months ago in most places. I had a surgery for December cancelled due to Covid. All non life threatening surgery was cancelled. Likely they are playing catch up with back logged cases.

Best of luck to you.

USC Keck in LA would call that a quality of life operation. They never slowed down their operations. I had an AUS 800 installed in August.

You can scream pain. No way they would not work you in. I was having a ton of pain. They had to do something for me.

Screaming pain is not working. And it’s a week post breakage. I am having pain in the area of the left cylinder going towards the rear tips. My surgeon does not see any urgency at this point.

Part of mine I'm sure is a combination of patients meeting max out of pocket (like I did) and wanting to get procedures done at the end of the year and push back from insurance companies. That and the holiday season with health care workers wanting and justly needing time off with family. Add Covid increasing ICU occupation and creating staffing shortages. Now there most likely is a large back log of people that have been waiting a long time for surgery. I have read of much longer waits for surgeries in other countries with public healthcare. Tough to have to wait I know as I have been dealing with problems with mine for nearly 3 years. At this point I am just happy that someone who accepts my insurance finally wants to help me and fix this. Take care and if it gets really bad you can always hit the ER and see it they will go ahead due to complications. Hang in there brother. Best of luck to you.
