Erection during doppler exam

Postby Whywhywhy » Wed Mar 10, 2021 2:53 pm

I had a doppler ultrasound exam and was administered Bimix 10-15 minutes prior to the exam. The injection did not produce a full erection, I only slightly got longer and more full, more like a fuller warmer flaccid. Does this indicate that I have a venous leak and that I'm at a point where an implant is considered a good treatment option and I'm not rushing into getting an implant? Is a erection required for the doppler exam to be valid? Why didn't it produce a full erection? Should I repeat the doppler exam?

It might or it might indicate an insufficient dosage or the selection of components in the bimix wasn't an appropriate to your system. The doppler will give you more information though, on VL and such.

The results had an inflow of only 12-16 and an outflow of 4.5 or 5 I don't remember. I was nervous during the appointment but was told that the injection bypasses your nerves and mind so that shouldn't be an issue. Not sure why my inflow was so low.

I just had the same two weeks ago. I got a partial erection, kind of a chubby. Dr. Eid said that it did not matter that it was not fully erect he could still do what he needed to do . When doing the ultrasound he said I have very good blood flow into the penis, and this is a bad thing indicating that I have a venous leak. The blood flow should have been slowing down when it met resistance as the penis engorged but it didn't, it just kept flowing through. It sounds like the same thing happened to you. When I stood up off the table I got more erect, about 75% which I think was purely due to gravity. I wouldn't worry about this.
59 years old. ED issues since young due to venous leak . Started pills in my mid 30s, did trimix injections for past 10 years. Developed peyronie’s about 30 degrees curve from injections. Coloplast Titan implanted by Dr. Eid June 3, 2021.

It sounds like what I've heard call "Arterial Insufficiency" (I think). Not enough blood flowing in from the arteries going into the penis.

Your doctor can explain it better (and accurately as I'm only a layman who's not in the medical field).

I had the same thing happen, and I think Wayne is correct. Bad inflow is arterial insifficiency, bad outflow is venous leakage. I think I had both.

You just need to find a urologist that checks it all. I had a doc inject me once, nothing, twice nothing, again nothing, 4 times did it. Am I doing that each time I want to have sex.

Are you kidding. You might as well hang a sign on my dick that says more peyronies issues welcome. I had a severe leak. It took me 4 urologists and 2 years to find one to diagnose it.

Then an implant. Should have done that first.
