Hi All,

Looking for some advice 34 and having major difficultys for last 2 years ,

Was using pills but they have stopped working , thinking about penile implant,

I'm concerned however that I'm not fixing the root cause of problem as outside of loss of morning erections , I have also lost sensation and the amount of sperm I ejaculate has become tiny ,

Speaking with medical staff seems to be fruitless ,

I can can understand the penile implant will sort erection ,but am concerned that the lack of sensation and sperm will mean sex will be eternally joyless,

They don't do the doppler test in Ireland anymore which is frustrating as at least I would be able to determine a cause ,I'm concerned that there is more going on considering loss of sperm , sensation and blood flow and that I'm just going to fix one part of problem

Any advice appreciated extremely confused and nearly afraid to speak to medics at this stage as they make me so angry ,

Cheers

ED causes size loss. The reduction of or loss nocturnal erections cause shrinkage. Nocturnal erections start before we are born. It is our bodies way of maintaining penis health. So the longer you wait the more you loose. VED therapy and meds can help with this but one well known doctor has said that an implant is the only this that can stop it. And advises surgery as soon as possible.

I don't know what to tell you about dealing with your doctors. Mine are to an extent the same way in the US and do no testing at all. The only test I have ever had for ED is a piss test.

Good luck with this.

Just another bit of info. I have retro ejaculation. That means when I orgasm I ejaculate into my bladder. I am an old guy but sex is still fun just no mess to worry about. There are options if I were younger and married and wanted to have children. So if that is the case you need not worry about that. As I recall certain medications can cause Retro. You might check the web for info to see if anything pops up for loss or reduced volume.

Good luck.

Your doubts are normal, but you are in luck. PLENTY of youtube videos explaining all your doubts. Look for the biggest names in terms of doctors and their practices and research this as much as you can. Also read the implant diaries here.

I'm sure that there must be doctors there that deal with ED or if not when this covid thing goes away you can go to England for treatment and diagnosis (out of pocket tho)

Youtube videos are not going to tell me why blood and semen are not circulating in my body properly ,

Most of the stuff online angers me "you should stop watching porn" or "excercise more" etc..

Pure and other bollix talk 80% of Ed issues have been shown to be physical yet people jump straight away to these bullshit circumstancial issues

If blood stopped flowing to my foot people would go well there must be reason physically that has happened let's try and figure out the cause

Why doesn't that happen with ED instead people engage in nonsense talk youtube my hole ,

There seems to be little or no focus on what is causing the problem and a huge focus on papering over the cracks with medication that eventually stops working,

I understand the reasons are diverse but just because it's difficult does not mean medics should not try and figure the problem out

You have accurately voiced who I am so adamantly opposed to government provided health care. When a doctor gets paid a fixed fee whether he sees 20 patients or 200, whether he accurately diagnoses someone or boogers it up totally, there is no incentive to be right.

If a doctor can develop a reputation for solving difficult cases, word gets around and he can see a lot of patients and charge them more for his expertise. The flip side is s doc that doesn’t solve problems can find himself on the witness stand in an unpleasant courtroom setting.

That doesn’t solve your problem, which is what needs to be done. The symptoms you describe are not normal, and there has to be an explanation (or several) for them.

ED can be venous leakage. Or psychological. Or hormonal. Or a combination of all three. Or something else.

The semen shortfall for a guy your age sounds endocrinologicsl/hormonal or maybe a prostate problem. I’m 65, post vasectomy, and use supplements to keep my ejaculate volume up to what it was in my 30s. You ought not have to worry about that. If it’s a teaspoon full, that’s within normal limits. So is a tablespoon. But a few drops? Not enough.

I think you need to find a doctor in private practice someplace. Maybe associated with a good medical school. They love saddling interns and residents with unusual cases or situations where diagnostic skills can be employed. You might need to travel to do this. I don’t know your finances or job situation so I don’t even know if that’s possible.

But I think you’ve got the right idea. A guy can listen to his body. A lot of times it won’t tell him what is wrong or why, but it has an uncanny ability to tell him that something isn’t right. Then you’ve just got to pursue a proper evaluation and diagnosis. That’s easier done in some places than others.

Giving a guy a bottle of cialis is quick and easy. Involving an endocrinologist and cardiologist and urologist and running blood work, echocardiogram, Doppler and pressure studies of a penis is a lot more time consuming. But sometimes that’s the only way to find out what is really going on.

I wish you good luck and I hate it that it’s a challenge. I was lucky that my venous leakage was congenital and real obvious on a dye test.

This does happen even in private healthcare depending on the region. Private healthcare in the US is state controlled and in states like mine where insurance companies are very powerful with the state level government it is like this. The only test my urologist have ever did is a piss test. No Doppler. I was given an printed off sheet and a script for injections and told goodbye. No in office professional injection or training. Places are different. Don't know if doctors don't care or if they are just being controlled by others. But that is the way it is. Next year I will be on Medicare and then go anywhere in the US I want.

The thing is the longer you spend waiting before implant the more loss that can happen. Micro surgery for repair in the penis is not a proven successful treatment. The blood in your semen should be treated though and I would keep going back to the doctor if an when this continues. I have thought a lot about moving to a different state where care is much better. Sad that there is not a national or even world level of care for health professionals. But there is not and some places have much better care than others.

You are not alone I am sad to say with this. Evaluate your options and make a plan. Keep asking questions and let us know how things are going. And the best of luck to you going forward with this.
