What is the recovery period after future replacements?

Postby darkflame » Mon Mar 01, 2021 2:22 pm

In the future when the device eventually fails how long does it take to recover from these replacements?

Does it still take up to 6 months to get size back?

I imagine there is way less recovery needed since there is no tissue being removed correct?

It is literally just taking out some plastic and putting some more in.

It really varies. It is most common that the replacement is easier for the patient and more difficult for the surgeon. And why not all doctors who do a first implant will do a replacement. I have not had a replacement so I cannot speak from experience. But the reason for replacement is also a factor. So infection or erosion are the most difficult.

I have spoken to one member personally that had a full replacement due to being undersized and he had a very quick and easy recovery with increased size and was very happy with the results. So this is the more common and general understanding that the 2nd is much easier on the man for a straight replacement with no other issues and a really good doctor. But as with anything there are no guaranties. Infection rate is a bit higher for the second. Even so most all men have an easier recovery the second time.
