Why is my doctor telling me to inflate the first day

Really sorry for your trouble. But things do happen and they may be right about your glans. That is not anyone's fault it just is. All doctors have reoperations and none are perfect. Not even mine. And mine does not handle it well on the few occasions he is not. I did the same thing with out of pocket though it was closer to 30k. And you see my results above after 3 years. What you can't see is the pain I have. But I was able to date again and have sex with women. And I plan to again.

I do not think you should beat yourself up over not doing your due diligence. You did a good job and choose a good doctor as I did. But things just happen. As far as your tips pointing in the glans. My right cylinder would not inflate for the longest time. As a results my tips in my glans were like this:

Different a bit now as the lower left tip is higher but the right tip is pointing across the top of my glans and and reaches just past the mid line if I am not careful. What I did was to partially inflate maybe 60% and pull my glans forward. Then push them back down on my tips where they were equal and inflate one handed. Then if I could not inflate due to had strength I would wait and repeat until I they would stay in place on there own. This did help me but I do not know if it would you. So I would try to work with this the best you can. And get out and use it with confidence that it will work every time for as long as you want.

This can be a difficult journey for some of us but I have to say even with all the problems I have had with this and my doctor I am not giving up on it. And I hope you do not either. I think my doctor would say cycling on the 1st day is too soon. My doctor suggests inflating 3days post op for everyone now, and I couldnt find any other doctor suggesting cycling this early until reading your post. 1-2 days postop, he just wants us laying on our back. I believe so the pump stays in a good place, and to lower infection risk by not touching it so soon. Does your doctor (Karpman) recommend cycling on the first day for most/all patients or just you? My doctor warned not to inflate unless youre 100% sure you can deflate. Personally, I dont think that statement makes much sense, because how can someone new to deflating ever be 100% sure, and what if the deflation function is broken? For that reason, I think the 1st inflation and deflation should be done in office, even if it’s done 3days postop.

Also, I just read your recent posts. Have you considered getting a 2nd opinion from another high volume implant specialist? While you may be right in what’s going on, it’s important to remember we’re not specialists, but many of us are experienced patients. . 2nd opinion from another specialist may give you some insight/tips.

I may be wrong with my eye sight like my hearing with thing one thing and it being another but the OP's posts seemed to have the tips out of the glans post op on day one and the doctor may have advised to pump a little to try to get them back up. IDK I may be off target with this but that is what my foggy head is saying.
