Painful first cycling after implant

Yesterday I had an appointment with my surgeon, which is one month after implant. A couple of days before the appointment, I started to feel sore when sitting.
I was so excited to start cycling and get cleared for sex. When the doctor started pumping up my dick, I felt pain all over the area from the glans to my anus. So, he stopped at angle about 4pm. The I asked to be deflated. Doctor said it is Ok to have some pain first time, and I am also still healing, some swelling is there as well. He also said that I can cycle 3 times a day for about 15 minutes each.
I rubbed Lidocaine cream all over the area. The pain went away slowly in the evening. I pumped up again at about 3.30am in the morning, and used Lidocaine. Still I feel a lot of pain, which I didn't have after the surgery.
For now, I am not thinking of having sex within one week, but the pain a big concern for me.
Adding: I also pressed the deflate button for 3 seconds and squeezed the penis to get it 100% flaccid, but I still feel it is about 30% inflated and the cylinders are hard.
I would love to hear your opinions or comments.
Thank you

Wish I had words to help but I never had that. How long ago was your surgery. My Dr said to wait 6 was. Well I’m not a patient man and I moved that target date up 2 was.

You possibly have not healed enough.

As I recall from my first few weeks, the "still inflated" comment sounds like some swelling is still present which is normal until you fully heal. The tips of the implant cylinders will ALWAYS remain hard because they are hard plastic. In time you'll learn where the inflatable portion of the cylinder is and what part not to try to squeeze. Squeezing the plastic tips or at the junction between the cylinder and the rear tips can cause residual pain that can last an hour or two.

Note, with the AMS MS pump it's really not important to press 3 seconds despite the literature. It's a toggle switch if you press it hard enough, so press the deflate button firmly and you should feel it make a soft "click" after which it's set and no further pressing is needed. Press it too softly and it only partially deploys and can close again once released.

AST2123, thank you for sharing your experience!

Yesterday was week 4 for me as well, for the install of my implant. On my 3rd week visit I was instructed by the surgeon to start pumping. I pumped maybe 20 times and maybe 10 pumps were good enough to inflate a little bit. I stayed inflated for about 5 minutes and deflated. I expected pain, but this pain was too much. I was in pain for the next 24 hours and could not sleep 8 straight hours. What I discovered on the next day is I was not completely deflated. Once I was 100% deflated I felt a lot better. When I sit, I am sitting on a pillow because of the pain. I have inflated a few more times since the first time. I cycled on Wednesday so I can share my experience with my surgeon on my visit Friday. I experienced more pain.

When I arrived to the doctor's office. He said you still have more fluid in you. He pressed the deflate button and squeezed along my penis and the fluid went back to the reservoir. I think it is a learning curve with deflating, but the pain is real. I want to continue to cycle, but I can't knowing this pain is coming shortly thereafter. So to assist with the pain the Dr has prescribed Gabapentin. I will take it for a few days to get it into my system before I cycle again. Hopefully this will curtail the pain, until my penis gets used to the stretching of tissue.

Thanks CajunFeff and Waynetto.
I took a warm shower and cycled. This time following your advice. It is way better than last night and today morning. It seems my recovery needs one or two weeks more.

IMO... time. Time, and patience. I suspect you'll continue to see healing progress and feeling more comfortable with activities even after 10-12 weeks post-surgery.

I almost passed out on first inflation. I wasn't really comfortable with inflation until week 5 or 6. I had pain on penetration until maybe 6 months. Everyone heals at different rates.

I wish that I could have shared some of my experience with you guys that had a really rough time. I did not have any pain or anything . It’s hard to believe. Waiting six weeks for some action was my biggest pain in the ass. I would gladly have traded a week of no pain with some of you guys that had such a hard time. It’s been a year now and 3 months and my cock is working like a champ! I’ve heard it affects every guy differently! I believe it. I have a friend Cajun Jeff that his big cock implanted about time I did. He had a great outcome. I have never had any pain period. I pump my cock up and the most pumps I have ever gotten was about 52. That was sometime ago. Now pumping about 12-14 pumps before sex gives me all the cock i will ever use. What a great thing. My wife loves my bionic cock and so do I! Thus far it has served me well.
