Daily cycling.

Postby Masonjames » Mon Feb 15, 2021 4:33 pm

I'm sure this has been addressed here before but I couldn't find the thread. So here's my question.
How long should continue daily cycling, after surgery? Six months, nine months, or a year? I am presently cycling two times a day for an hour each time.
Thanks in advance you your advice and experiences.
70 year old, Married 53 years with two adult children.
Tried pills, herbs, and Trimix. Implanted by Dr. Hakky , in Atlanta, on the 1st, of September. Titan XL 24cm's with two 1.5cm"s RTE"s

I was told a year. But some times that is not possible. I do pump it up every day to full mast to keep what I have.

Good luck.

The manufacturer's Patient Liaison might be able to shed some light on your question. Such is their job, to keep up communication between patients and the manufacturers, keep the knowledge base of all as complete as possible and probably feeds information into their list of surgeons they continue to recommend in their "Centers of Excellence".

If you do contact your regional P.L., please let us know what you find out. Of course, what you tell the P.L will affect what advice you get (your variables may affect the advice) so, including those details would be helpful to us as well.

Personally, I pump up to maximum for up to 90 minutes per session 4-5 times a week for sex, general purposes and stretching.

My Uro. recommended at least once a day, forever. His reasoning was that it will keep the parts lubed and discourage failures. As far as restoring presurgery size I've heard suggestions of 2 to 3 times a day for about a year, pumping to the point of slight discomfort for at least 10 minutes

I am still some days away from starting cycling. My question is if pump up and have sex, would this act like you are cycling or still you need to do another hour of cycling?
And is it about pumping to full, wait 30 minutes, then deflate?

The protocol varies greatly from surgeon to surgeon, as commented upon frequently here on FT. My surgeon suggested that I continue to cycle for one hour every day to maximum inflation to the threshold of pain. When I've maxed out inflation without pain or discomfort, I can stop the daily ritual and pump up a few times a week (yes, sex counts if you're 100% pumped) to keep the pump and deflate block operating smoothly. I'm at 9-1/2 months post-op now and almost there!
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 73 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.

I got my implant in 2008 and never cycled it at all. I did inflate it maybe once every couple of months just to keep things working, but the pump stopped moving any fluid this past September. Don't know what's wrong with it and don't really care,

I cycle one hour in the morning and one at night. I was told to do this for six months, then one hour per day day for another six months. I am amazed and pleased by the length and girth of the penis. I try to fully inflate any time I shower as well.
