Hey guys , so I went last week to go see a WELL known doctor in NY.
I have one of the worst cases or peyronies he seen. Long story short I tried all the possible injections, traction devices and even graft surgery ( which left me even worse) Doctor says I have so much scar tissue and plaque that he has to do another graft surgery then put in those implants that stay hard. ( they will be removed after 3 months). Then he will be able to put regular implants in. Has anyone had those implants that stay hard? Any information on them?
Always hard implants?
Re: Always hard implants?
Unless it is malleable implant, I did not hear about other stay hard implants.

Hard to comment about the proposed procedure. Maybe the best path is to seek a second opinion from a qualified surgeon. A similar prognosis should give you the info you need to make a decision. I wish you the best of luck.

I hear this Dr is rated #1. (EID) he said the implant stays hard but u can tilt it up to lay on stomach or down towards ur leg.

Sounds like he's referring to the malleable implant. If you received this advice from Dr Eid, I would trust it 100%. As you said, he is perhaps the #1 in the world.
The malleable implant is not as good as a regular implant, but fortunately sounds like his plan is to install the regular one in 3 months.

Re: Always hard implants?
That is CORRECT, he has to do a graft surgery first then those implants to keep it straight and hard for 3 months then the regular implants.
Re: Always hard implants?
I was told I needed the same type of surgery. It’s surprising that it has to be done, has anyone heard of surgeons not being able to get implant cylinders through plaque? Don’t they just cut through it?

Is anybody following that has or had this done?
Re: Always hard implants?
If it is that bad they need to cut it out, and in order for it to heal correct is to keep it hard. I had graft surgery 10months ago, made it worse because the J.O doctor let it heal in a soft position which caused more scar tissue.
Re: Always hard implants?
Over the past 4 years or so I have been reading and posting on here, I have heard this same procedure being discussed by a few others if they have really bad scar tissue. You might try searching malleable and see what comes up.
If I remember one reason was the malleable never goes soft so your body shapes around the hard cylinders over time. Your body has no choice in the matter. After everything is stretched out they take malleable out and put in a different type.
