My hospital charge for revision was about 174,000. It was more involved than most though due to some issues relating to hernia surgery. Cannot remember what insurance allowed but it was not much.

My total out of pocket for revision was about 900.

I really appreciate people sharing their cost of surgery. Having firsthand knowledge of what other surgeries cost in the area, both at an outpatient surgical center and at the local hospital, the amount initially looked like over billing. I realize there are a significant amount of factors that come into play with regards to cost of surgeries, but having a very broad general range of numbers to compare to it helps me to put everything into perspective.

The Mayo Clinic, where I had a flawless procedure costs $43,000 out of pocket, including a hospital stay for one night. My result was perfect and that included a scrotoplasty.

If they can afford it and can afford insurance. Imagine being a person with ED and not be able to afford an implant.

Took me 2 tries to get approved but after insurance chipped in my deductible still cost me just over $3,000. Then there was the $350 surgeon fee. If I had waited until this year it would have cost me zero since I now have double insurance coverage with Medicare B.

I can’t believe BCBS paid that much. I am in NC as well, have BCBS, and had surgery recently with Dr. Eid at MEETH. I could not belive HOW LITTLE insurance paid Dr. Eid: 10 cents on the dollar. I used to work in Healthcare IT and heard it is the self-pay patients that help doctors make up for the dismal insurance reimbursements.
