Scratch technique

Postby fade3W » Wed Jan 13, 2021 1:18 pm

Anyone here had peyronies and had the “scratch” technique done by either Perito or Hakky (or any other doctors)?

Wondering about your experiences.

What was recovery like?
Are you straighter now?
Do you still have sensation on the part of the shaft where the plaque was?

Thanks

When I got operated by Hakky he said I had minor peyronies and he fixed that during implant. I wasn’t even aware I had it but glad Dr fixed it. I recovered very well with minimal pain.
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.

Sensation has nothing to do with the plaque or its removal. The tunica albuginea is a fibrous but stretchy sheath without much in the line of sensations. The plaque or fibrosis (scarring) will have no feeling either. The skin and other structures over the erectile bodies are where the sensations are felt, along with the glans penis (head of penis) where the majority of the sensations derrive.

As long as there is limited nerve damage due to modeling (bending and "breaking" of plaque), in theory there should be good sensation remaining after implantation. There may be some loss of sensation around any incisions of the skin such as subcoronal or circumcision cuts, just as there was numbness in my penoscrotal incision between my dick and balls. Most numbness will eventually abate sufficiently to not be a major issue - I'm still numb and itchy at times in my penoscrotal area but I believe it is partly because the tubes from the cylinders to the pump rub in the same area when I sit in certain ways.

fade3W,

Please check my signature. My surgeon used the “Scratch” technique on my PD. I cannot locate any evidence of the 2cm plaque upon completion of the surgery. She had trained with Perito. My recovery was no different than others here on FT. I experienced some recovery discomfort, but nothing too bad that over the counter meds couldn’t handle. I am definitely straighter now than pre-surgery. Yes, there is sensation on the section of the shaft where the PD once existed.

I’m not sure where you are located, but please keep in mind that some of the best surgeons are not the only competent individuals on the internet. :D

Zraptor,

Thank you for the input. I’m certainly not dismissing any doctors, just going off the names Perito and Hakky because I know they are the big names when it comes to that treatment. I’d love to have a list of more names to choose from, including your surgeon, so thank you.
