Postby johnsmithlancer » Thu Dec 31, 2020 2:48 pm

i had an implant (ams 700lgx 18+4rte) on nov 14th so its currently about 6 weeks post surgery i have acouple of problems
1st-ive lost about 2.5 inches in length and about alot of girth
2nd the dr ran the tubing around my penis (1 tube around 1 side and 2 tubes around the other) and is uncomfortable when cycling
3rd ive lost alot of sensation and cannot get near orgasm
4th i can feel the tubing wrapping around the base of my penis ..i assumed the tubing would be installed deeper towards my organs etc and completely unfeelable
5th fully "erect" cycled the implant is only barly rigid enough for intercourse

Hey John,

Welcome to FT. I will try to help a bit with what I can. Sounds like you had infrapubic incision (above the penis) and I had penoscrotal (below the penis) but I can address the rest.

1. When I first started cycling I was at about 4.5" . That went up to 5" over the first month or 2 then leveled out at 5.5 from about 7-10 months. Maybe went to 5.75. Then at just over a year I hit 6" and maybe 6.125 now. The thing to do now is to follow your doctors instructions and avoid infection. And enjoy as much of it as you can when your doctor clears you to do so. There is a study done on VED use after surgery and my AMS user DVD does mention some doctors may recommend VED use with cycling. But you need to check with your doctor. After I was fully healed I used long pump adding inflations and it took a long time for that to show gains but others have used a VED and that seemed to work faster. This is a long process for your body and mind to get used to the new you. There will be changes and improvements but they will mostly be slow. A few that really heal fast are up and going a lot quicker but some who heal slow take a lot longer. Just concentrate on healing and following your doc's instructions and cycle as he/she directs. You might ask him/her about VED use.

2. Mine are all under so I will have to skip this.

3. When I was cleared for sex I would most times get tired of trying while masturbating and would not orgasm. Took a really long time when I did orgasm. But that improved for me over time and does for most all of use. So don't worry about it now. You are still healing and just enjoy what you can when you can. Now I can but it just takes a bit longer but I was slow to orgasm all my life to begin with.

4. Again all mine were underneath but I did have to adjust to them and a bit of discomfort from the reservoir. This was just another part of taking time for my body to adjust. You should also.

Welcome to the Brotherhood. Keep up the cycling work and pick a date every 2-4 weeks apart to measure or evaluate whats going on. You should see improvements but they are to slow to try to see from day to day.

Did the doctor do your implant penoscrotal method (between the penis and scrotum) or infrapubic (above the penis in the fat pad)?

  1. Some loss will probably be recovered - if the lost size was immediately before implant when erect, it will probably come back with time and cycling. if the lost size is based on your "HEYDAY" size before ED set in, that's going to probably be lost to history.
  2. Comfort will come with time.
  3. I have the same numbness you speak of although I can orgasm but I've only gotten one PIV (Penis in Vagina) orgasm in the past 14 months and it was about 6-7 months ago.
  4. The reason for the rear-tip extenders was probably to line up the implant properly so the tubing came out the right part of the penis. If your surgery was penoscrotal, then what feels like all tubes wrapping around the penis is probably just the tubes exiting the sides of your penis and the reservoir tube coming from your abdomen is the only one really wrapping around.

The tubing will be detectable just as the pump is, for most penoscrotal implants. Infrapubic installations may be the same if they go into both sides of the penis instead of the top. It's just the way it is. The RTE brings the tubing more forward allowing the incisions to be closer to the surface.

My implant is an AMS CX - 15 cm, no RTEs. I can feel the tube from the reservoir wrapping around the left side, right next to the left cylinder tube where it exits the corporotomy. The right cylinder's tube is opposite the left one in about the same position, between straight out to the right, and 45 degrees downward. My tubes point forward from my penis and loop down into my scrotum. I always feel my tubing anytime I have to scratch an itch in my scrotum or underside of my dick (my corporotomies always itch where the tubes are).
  5. You're probably not pumping fully even though you think you are. Once you get where you think it's fully pumped, Grab your penis, bend it down, up, left, right several times, then try to add a few more pumps. You will probably also find that you can get more pumps in after 10 minutes of "FULL" inflation. Also try pumping with both hands if you need to. Just because the pump bulb seems to be hard doesn't mean it can't still put more into the implant. each "micro-pump" I add after mine seems to be at 100% but flexible, adds more pressure and after a few micro-pumps it even adds some pressure pain in the sides, so I know micro-pumps (or pumps that barely compress the hard bulb) do add more to the implant. After I "FULLY" pump up, it's sometimes too flexible for serious penetration but after about 5-10 micro-pumps, I can penetrate with no problem and it doesn't try to bend in the middle. Anal penetration is no problem after I pump to that degree.

Sorry I missed #5. The device is very stiff when it is new, Try heat. I used a heating pad. If you take baths you can use a hot bath. I used a hot shower but that uses us the hot water and just liked the heating pad. The heat will soften the pump and the cylinders. Take care.

#2 if you were done infra pubic the tubing does wrap around the base. You will get used to everything you mentioned. The long time to reach orgasim is a benefit at 2 years out. I had a 106 degree 2 person hot tub during healing. It was great. The length will return with cycling over a year. After a while, yes , pump it up and bend it up and down right and left. You will be OK. Takes time.

3rd ive lost alot of sensation and cannot get near orgasm
I'm now 8 months post-op and haven't experienced a single orgasm/ejaculation yet with my loving and talented wife. It was only a rare occurrence that I failed to achieve orgasm/ejaculation before surgery. Even masturbation now with visual stimulation (pornographic videos of a nature that appeals to me!) take forever and are weak.
I've tried urethral gels, nasal sprays and take Cabergoline, as well as a daily 5 mg Cialis and 35 mg more of Cialis a few hours before lovemaking. None of it has worked.
It seems that many implantees on FT have experienced a similar loss of pleasurable sensation leading to orgasm/ejaculation. Does it ever return? After how long? Anyone KNOW if this is a natural result of IPP surgery. If so, what caused it? Any other options I haven't yet tried that have been successful for you?
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 76 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.
