Soft glans prior to implant

Hello everyone,
Currently I am taking PDE5 inhibitors and with constant stimulation I can keep the shaft of my penis hard. My glans become inflated, I don't believe all the way, but will quickly start to deflate if I stop stimulation and in turn causes my shaft to begin to drop and get soft. Over time the pills have been losing its efficiency and have been a hit or miss if they work. I am always stressed now when it comes time for sex and I can't relax and be myself and enjoy the moment. I have cut contact with two women now because of this issue and because I felt too ashamed to let them know about my problems. I believe that my ed problem is with my glans not retaining the blood and not maintaining my erection for satisfactory intercourse. It feels as if I have scar tissue around the corona of the glans and the ventral right side of the penis. My glans point downward while my shaft is erect and upwards.
My question is, Has anyone else shared a similar experience prior to implantation? Would implantation even be a viable treatment option for cases like this?
I would think because implantation removes the anxiety of worrying of having a erection adequate enough for satifactory sex I would be happy with the outcome, but I would hate to spend money and time recovering from surgery for a outcome that I feel didn't really change my situation.

You have no signature so I am going to assume you are a young guy. You need to find out why you will not stay hard. Emotional? Low T? venous leakage? Nerve damage? Have you used Trimix yet? Don't consider an implant till you know all these facts. NOTHING, is better, or near as good as a blood filled dick. explore all other options first.

You have no signature so I am going to assume you are a young guy. You need to find out why you will not stay hard. Emotional? Low T? venous leakage? Nerve damage? Have you used Trimix yet? Yes I am only 29. I have been dealing with this condition for a few years now and started taking PDE5 inhibitors for 2.5 years now. I have gotten bloodwork done in the past and everything seems to be fine, Testosterone is in the high normal range. I possibly have a venous leak and have a consultation with a top urologist next month to see if we can diagnosis the issue. Injections have no appeal to me as I am young and do not have a stable partner. I really wish I do not have to get an implant, but as of recently I have become very depressed over this matter. It has become one of the only things that occupies the majority of my thoughts. I have no motivation to do anything because I do not see the point. I have a great job that I could be excelling in and getting better at but, I lack the motivation because at the end of the day, who am I going to share my success with if I do not fix this issue?

Please share why you say" nothing is near as good as a blood filled dick". Other that having to manually inflate and deflate the device, what are some other cons you have experienced. Pardon my ignorance.

Hey Hope. I am 29 and have an appointment next month to get tests done and hopefully a diagnosis. I believe I have soft glans syndrome due to failure to retain blood. I never get that tight feeling around the glans that felt like the glans were full and sealed anymore. My penis feels like two separate parts, a hard tight shaft and a floppy soft glans that can be pushed forward and back.
I know the general consensus is you get the same glans engorgement post op as you have pre op, but with stimulation I can fill the glans with blood, just not retain it. I wish I do not need a implant, but am hopeful that the very least it is an option that can allow me to have satisfactory sex that is not position dependent, rushed, and constantly hoping and praying I don't go soft mid way or during a rushed quick change of position.

You can get blood in the glans but not retain it.
The answer is a cockring, they work wonders. May have to be quite tight, you will have to experiment.
I have this, but also a soft shaft. Intending to get implant and use a ring.
Honestly, give it a go.

Why,, a blood filled dick is plump and red. It is full of nerve endings and sensitivity receptors. implant just makes your dick hard. Without the nerves tingling there is not much feeling. Your uro will probable inject you with trimix to see if your dick will hold the blood or leak out. Injections for me provided much more feeling than the implant. The hole dick was filled with blood.I was allergic to the pGE-1 in trimix so I had serious pain with the erection. Lots of guys inject for years. Go to the injection section.

My experiences are very similar to oldbeek's. Additionally, my operative report contained this notation from my surgeon: "I did meet corporal fibrosis midshaft which is consistent with a previous history of injections". The fibrosis made it challenging for the surgeon to get the implant to mid-glans, Fortunately for me, he was able to achieve that. So the injections have this little discussed risk of making implantation difficult or worse...an inability of the surgeon to place the implant. For me, the PGE-1 in a bi-mix also resulted in 4 trips to the ER for treatment of Priapism.
I was unaware of all this until I got a copy of and read the operative report 6 months after my implantation..

I thought I read that sensitivity remains the same pre-op and post-op? I still have my nerve endings and sensitivity receptors, I did not have the prostate surgery that you had. I am single and about to hit 30 with no wife and no girlfriend, using trimix injections does not seem like a solution to my problem. I want my life back, I want sex to be fun and carefree not something that requires so much preparation and anxiety and potentially will leave me with more scar tissue than I possibly already have.

I didn't have prostate surgery but haven't regained sensitivity of shaft and glans that I had before my IPP surgery. See longer post above.
