8 Weeks and 3 Days Post Op Update

Postby Time2Change » Thu Dec 24, 2020 4:17 pm

Finally, eight weeks and one day after my implant, I went back to my doctor to learn how to inflate and deflate my implant and get the go ahead for action.

A little over two weeks after surgery, I had my follow up appointment to be deflated. Wow, was I sore the rest of that day. Much to my chagrin, the earliest my doctor could see me again was six weeks later, rather than four. And I was under strict orders to just leave my dick alone and let it heal.

I spent the next few weeks just dealing with the healing process. I slowly reduced the amount and frequency of taking Ibuprofen. I dealt with the awkwardness and pain of wearing pants all day at work. I slowly increased my activity levels and dealt with the pains that came from doing a lot of physical work. I took long showers every night, and directly massaging my penis and groin with a flow of hot water helped with the pain (I don't have a tub to soak in.).

Honestly, even though I was supposed to go back four weeks after my first follow up appointment, I'm glad it was delayed. It wasn't until last week that I stopped having random moments of pain in either my penis or scrotum.

So, when I finally returned, I was ready to go. My doctor had me practice on his model. Then he fully inflated and deflated me. I was so surprised at how I looked. If I was ever that big and erect in my pre-ED days, I don't remember it. Then I took a turn. Inflating was fairly easy. Getting ahold of the release valve to deflate was a challenge, but I managed.

So, that night it was time to have sex with my wife, and it wasn't very good. The best I can describe it was uncomfortable. I didn't feel any sense of pleasure, and the tubes shifted and bent in weird ways. But, my wife and I both had yesterday off, so after breakfast we had sex again, and it was much better the second time. I felt some pleasure, though not enough to orgasm. And the tubes didn't seem to shift weirdly. We screwed for at least half an hour, and then I started to feel some soreness, so we stopped. I'm hopeful that things will continue to get better.

Overall, there's been ups and downs since the surgery, but I'm happy with the result now. If I didn't have a job where I could get in big trouble if found out, I would post a picture. I hope this has been helpful to any guys considering an implant or in the early days and weeks of recovery.

Mine didn't get real comfortable and pleasurable till 12 to 16 weeks. Vaginal orgasms were hard to come for quite a while. Give it time and Merry Christmas.

Thanx for your update bro!

Could you be some more specificic about your implant. F.e. who was your surgeon, what was your pre-op length, post-op length, cilinder size RTE's.

I thougt it was supposed to cycling within 2 weeks to prevent building scart tissue.

Can you explain what was akwardness?

Do you think this was the right time for you or do you think you should have done
It earlier and how much years ago?

Sorry for all the questions , but you're really helpfull for those considering.

Good Luck bro!

My doctor is Martin Gross. He's laid back and has a good sense of humor, but takes his work seriously.

I don't know my pre op length or the length of the cylinders. I'm a little over six inches when fully inflated, but not excited.

I asked my doctor about cycling last week. He said that's for guys with peyronie's who are trying to straighten their penises. I don't have that problem. He told me pumping up once a day is good for the mechanics of the implant.

So, the tubes are still really stiff right now, even deflated. Pants, even loose fitting ones, still pressed down hard on my penis, which was painful for a while. And walking was also challenging. I was walking bowlegged for a while because I have this stuff dick pressed along the side of my leg. So, this is what I meant by awkward.

If I had known about implants, I would have done this years ago. My ED is due to an injury. It was very sudden. I pursued many avenues over the course of years to address it. It has been incredibly damaging to me and my relationship with my wife. I'm only almost nine weeks out from surgery, and I feel quite different--more confident and whole. It's going to take a while for me to heal, and for my marriage to heal. But being able to have sex without concern about my ability to stay hard is already such a relief. Again, I absolutely would have done this a long time ago.

Cycling over a long period of time will soften the implant but you will still have that big thing hanging down your pant leg. You just have to get used to it and it won't be sore after awhile. My wife loves mine!!!

vajim1,

Thanks for the encouragement. I have gotten used to walking with the larger bulge.

It was my understanding that the tubes will soften over time. I'm looking forward to that because I usually wear straight leg jeans, and that's currently impossible without discomfort I'm unwilling to deal with. I can be patient, though. Hell, I lived with ED for over 19 years before this surgery, so I can live with loose pants for a few months.

I asked my wife how I felt, and she said like you, which is all good as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, it took me close to 5 months to feel comfortable with my new tool. Sex made me sore for a while, bad soreness the first few times. As far as my tubes they have softened somewhat after 13 months, but now they stay partially inflated all the time. My flaccid state is way larger than it has ever been, and I'll never be able to wear swimming trunks again in public. On the other side though, being able to get an erection anytime I want is the best. Once I got used to the implant my confidence went up, up, up.
