Just had Coloplast Titan - 6 days post-op

Postby Megamind » Sun Dec 20, 2020 8:30 pm

Hello Guys.

I just had my surgery done with Dr Chris Love in Melbourne one week ago. and I am wondering about the heaviness and dragging sensation down in my sac.

I had Coloplast titan 26cm with 1cm RTE. through MINT procedure which was amazing with little scarring. I still have some pain at the wound site which is reasonable.

There are some bruising on the right upper side of the sac and on the penile shaft itself .. I am trying to keep it up to avoid swelling and pain, but its very uncomfortable to put the penis in that position (upright). I had to deflate the device completely to relief that dragging pain during standing still.

I feel much better when I apply ice packs for the area. standing for more than 10 mints give me some pains.

Honestly, I have few Qs from your personal experience if someone can give some answers.

1- Is it okay to completely deflate the device at this stage or should I keep it half-inflated at all times?

2- Hot baths is more beneficial or ice application to the area at this stage?

3- Should I start inflating the device to the maximum after complete painless recovery with disappearing of all bruises? or should I start that earlier?

4- I am still feel very sore when I sit on a wooden chair or stool. Actually can't sit from pain at device site (at the sac area). Does that would be my lifestyle or will improve?

Thank you and sorry for taking so long

You will get a various set of answers on here, but listen to your doc.

Good luck. Do t know the answers to your questions. Dr did tell me no bath till incision is completely healed. You don’t want an infection.

Good luck. You will love your new self.

Congrats on the implant. Post some photos, updates on the recovery. Recovery will take several weeks, but in a few months you'll love the new tool.

1. Keep it half inflated until Dr deflates it and tells you to start cycling.
2. Don’t take hot bath until Dr allows, it will cause infection. Apply ice.
3. Ask the Dr
4. You’re sitting? I am 2 weeks out and sitting very less, 70-80% of the time I am spending on bed.

Ask all the questions you asked here from your Dr. I am simply sharing my experience.
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.

Megamind,
Talk to your doctor as stated above but just what my doctor told me after my surgery.
He had deflated me before I left the hospital for my comfort but mine was a replacement revision. he said Ice for 20 minutes every two hours minimum. Said I could rotate 20 minutes on 40 minutes off. He said that ice was the key to reduce pain and swelling. He also would not let me take baths for several weeks but a shower was ok just not to directly place the incision at the shower. He said stand with my back toward the shower. He had me start cycling at one week but I waited for two just to make sure internal stitches were good. I had to pull the pump down in my sack each time I went to pee. That was a little uncomfortable for several days due to swelling. I was a little sore on hard surface chairs for about two weeks. It didn't just totally go away but got much better with time. Wish you the best. It will get better soon honest. Your implant size is large but the pump sjould be the same size as the other smaller devices.
Revision 2/13/24 Dr Tariq Hakky, Atlanta (Great Doctor) Titan 24XL no Rte’s. I’m 62 married. I have had numerous revisions due to product and body failures. Always had a Titan ipp.

Definitely ask your surgeon before you do anything. My doc kept me 60% inflated until week 5, made sure the incision was well healed then released me to take baths and have sex. Healing took me a long time. Couldn't sit in a chair for almost 2 months and had pain/soreness for almost 5 months.
Once released to take baths it was a morning routine for me. I could soak for a while to ease the pain then work on inflating/deflating. Used a kids sock to cover my penis when dressed because the rubbing in my pants was terrible. Also found Aspercream would reduce pain with a small dab smeared on my shaft. It took a while to get used to the heavy feeling of a third ball in my sack. Even at over a year out it still feels heavy, but I'm used to it now. When I feel things moving around down there it reminds me of what I got now vs what I had. An ego boost for sure.
Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Thank you Old Guy for your nice reply. I will try to write my reply in english but forgive me for any spelling or grammar problem as my mother language is not English.

I feel so happy I had done the surgery in comparison to my ED that I had for 15 years now after a significant childhood trauma leaded to venus leakage or valvular damage in the venus drainage as they described it.

The pain is different each day which really surprises me. Yesterday was so good and I could drive and walk and do BBQ with family. Today, was so sore and painful on any minor movement or urinating which I couldn't understand am I improving or deteriorating ? .. but there is no sign of infection for sure as there is no redness or swelling. No burning in the urine or blood.

I will try the kids sock idea which seems to be brilliant idea has not crossed my mind at all.

My main concern is getting back to work and life, I am not lifting any heavy stuff but I do sit on a desk for long hours. I am not rushing to start sexual activity but I want to back to work as I am very dedicated to my work.

Thanks again :)
