After reading a lot of topics i noted that fibrose is often an obstacle during implanting.
It's more difficult te maintain size and in rare cases they can't put an implant at all.
So i was wondering how to check if you have to much of fibrose before they are going to implant or is the only way they can tell at the moment of dilating?
I have ED and a curve of 20% to the left. 3 uro's had manually felt my penis and none had said anything about fibrose or scar tissue.

Great question, I did a search and found https://blog.drpaulo.com.br/en/blog/pey ... o-treat-it
They recommend self exams looking for lumps and hard spots

Thanx for the link brother. So there is superficial and internal penile fibrosis.
So you can examine yourself if you have superficial fibrosis.
But what about the internal penile fibrosis. You might not feel that.

Another good question. Someone on the forum should know. Maybe a duplex ultasound test might show internal. My only other guess is anMRI

Keep in mind also that there are different types of plaque. If the fibrosis has calcified it will not be visible on an MRI which only works on the water in the body. It will only be visible by way of a CT scan or other 3D x-ray based scan. Ultrasound might be able to see both hardened tissues (fibrosis) and calcified plaques if it can penetrate deep enough to see. In my non-medical opinion, that would probably require a perineum and/or a penoscrotal ultrasound to look at the proximal corpora.

Thanx Wayetho,
I don't think my uro will do an internal ultrasound. I believe he has an Doppler ultrasound. Is it possible with a doppler ultrasound to see fibrosis or calcification.
I'm wonder if there are so much men with ED due to fibrosis and the distalation might be a problem. Why the heck do the implanteers no examination if there is fibrosis before implanting.

Re: How to check fibrose before implant
My previous Uro did an ultrasound, which clearly showed my large dorsal plaque mass (which is easily felt), and the VL, both of which he called "severe." My new doc, who I have chosen for my implant did a lengthy manual exam of the plaque from all angles, a really aggressive stretch test and told me because of how the plaque is positioned it wouldn't interfere with an implant. FWIW.
20 years of severe Peyronie's plaque, 90 curve, hinging and ED. Cost me 1.5" L and 1" G.

Re: How to check fibrose before implant
Now I understand something that my doctor said during my exam. During my stretch measurement. He said no fibrosis. I didn't ask what that meant. Now it makes sense. He is able to feel the fibrosis during the stretch test. Maybe they can't feel all of it but only if any is present. Perhaps this might help answer some questions.
