Taking the plunge to becoming bionic!

Postby sgarza07 » Sat Dec 05, 2020 12:22 pm

I am a 32yr old getting an implant soon. Because of my limited hand dexterity, the doc is recommending a malleable implant (which I am not quite a fan of a 24/7 boner). I have tried pills, vacuums, injections, and I just cannot get enough blood flow to my penis. Are there any other men with a malleable implant? Would you share your story and maybe pictures of a “resting” and “standing” penis? I have tried finding blogs and videos for the rigid implant but only see videos of surgeries.

Also, it would by interesting to have a battery operated implant for those with hand dexterity issues, where it is a click of a button on like a remote.
34 yo, limited hand/finger dexterity. Tried vacuums, pills, TriMix, and Jelqs and nothing works. Implanted with AMS 700CX 21cm, Right 0.5 RTE by Dr. Clavell in Houston, TX on 5/12/21. Frenectomy 5/11/22 by Dr. Clavell.

Hey Broyher,

Good luck with your implant.
Maybe can a brother give you a good tip how to conceal the semi-erect bulge.

From what I've read on this forum over the years, the malleable implant is really a lot worse than the inflatable one. Does the doc have a coloplast or AMS sample pump in his office, so you could try for yourself to see if the inflatable pump is possible to manipulate for you?

That is what I heard. I did try to test the pump in the docs office but couldn’t use unfortunately.

You might be one of the few posters on FT that the malleables are designed for.
My suggestion is to really evaluate if you don't have the dexterity/strength to run the pump. Then look into the future & see if you might learn how to use the pump with some therapy & specialized training. Finally, if by chance you are married or in a long term relationship. Is your partner inclined to work the pump for your encounters.
Basically, please exhaust all the possible options before deciding against a 3 piece style implant.

So I want to second what GT just said - try to exhaust all of your options before deciding against a 3 piece. Wile I am sure you would do just fine with a malleable, the three piece is really a work of art. I have a condition called scleroderma - which is like arthritis on steroids. My hands basically don't work, I actually have three screws in my left hand. Basically fusing my fingers into a fixed position - and I can work the pump with my left hand. It took some practice but I can do it. All it really takes is the ability to squeeze your thumb and any one of your other fingers together with a little bit of force.

Now I realize your situation may be more difficult than mine - if so you will do fine with the malleable. But like GT said make sure you exhaust all your options first.

I am a quadriplegic that have weak hands muscles, making it hard to squeeze. Why do the make pumps so hard to squeeze?

The pumps are very hard i have read posts of guy that hold there pump on a hard surface and just push down with thumb hand palm of our hand whatever they can because they cant squeeze the pump if theirs a way you can figure it out may take longer but im sure with a little thought and ambition you can figure out a way to work the pump not against mailable just think 3 piece is harder and better erection maybe tell your doc to send you home with the one they give you to practice with if not ill send you mine you will figure it out

Very good question. Probably has to do with the pressure that is required to produce a suitable erection.
I just want to say that you won't be judged here. Most comments, even if they might be a bit pointed. Are still meant to help.
The malleables bring their own list of issues. Trade offs so to speak. We, as a group, have very little experience helping with those issues.
Perhaps another avenue to investigate is the implant companies themselves. They are always looking at new ideas. There has been some rumors that a battery powered pump might be in the works.
It might be worth it to see if any of the companies are to the point of implanting a new design that requires less or no bulb hand squeezing.
Just some out of the box thinking.

sgarza,

I definitely don't mean to suggest you can do something with your hands that you can't ... you know your situation better than any of us, so I hope I didn't offend.

Again - you can do very well with a malleable, and if that is what your Dr recommends then we are behind you 100%!

Also keep i mind that an implant can be replaced down the road with a newer model. Hopefully it won't be too many more years before we see an electric pump version out on the market ...
