My AMS 700 LGX has stopped working...I was implanted 4 years ago and was very happy with the results...until recently that is...It normally takes 27 pumps to bring me to full erection...but last night, after 10 squeezes, the pump would not reinflate and I was left with a half erect penis. I reset the pump and tried again multiple times, but with the same sorry result. Does this happen often? I’m pretty crushed knowing that I can no longer achieve an erection...I am impotent once again...help!

Just possibly an air bubble got into the tubing somehow and is interfering with the pump. It's a slim chance but worth a shot. First if you can, call the patient liaison for their opinion, but you might have luck fully squeezing all the saline from your implant (even in the crus if your inflatable portion goes that deep - sit on a firm bench while deflating). Also, you might have some success resetting the pump by squeezing the deflation block from both ends to see if the bulb will re-inflate.

I wish you luck and hope your issue can be resolved non-surgically. If all else fails, consult your urologist/surgeon for advice.

The incident you describe is the way I knew my implant had failed. The bulb don’t fill back up because there is a leak in your implant. I suggest you contact your doctor right away. The sooner you get on the books the sooner you can get it replaced. I’m first implant lasted 49 months, the second one 5 month, the third lasted two years. I’m 2-5 weeks post replacement surgery now. My implant has been Titan each time. My latest doctor was Hakky in Atlanta and I’m so so happy and blessed to have him as my doctor.

After twelve years my Titan quit working in September. I inflated it only a few times over the twelve years and have no idea what's wrong - the pump doesn't move any fluid. I asked Dr Kramer about it and he said he'd take a look when he gets his new office up and running. I don't really care if it works or not, and have no interest in having him repair or replace it, but I'm mildly curious as to why it quit.

Did he say where his new office would be? Is he still in the Baltimore area?

He didn't mention where it will be, but I'm sure it will be in or near Baltimore.
