On my 3 month follow-up after implantation (in Jan 2020), I told my doctor that I was getting some pretty strong tumescence at times and he told me that was impossible because he "TOTALLY DESTROYED" my erectile tissues in my corpora. I argued that I really was getting semi-erections and they were quite noticeable to me and he maintained his denial.

My normal size is between 4.75-5.0" when deflated and around 5.5" when inflated, sometimes as long as 6.0", as I say frequently, "On a good day".

Today I was surfing the web (non-sexual content) while sitting here nude, my glans was cold so I cupped it to warm it up and at some point not long after, I noticed the old familiar pressure in my crus and my dick felt quite girthy and warm (warmer than my hand). I immediately grabbed my measuring tape and pressed it hard against my pubic bone and found that my old buddy was measuring a full 5.75" without being inflated! It also was girthy although I didn't measure that. I commented to my wife, rolled up my tape measure and sat back down and as quickly as it happened, it retracted back and down to 5.25" (still better than the 4.75-5.0" normal length).

To my doctor: "YOU'RE WRONG, I *DO* STILL GET ERECTIONS! JUST NOT USABLE ONES."

Not implanted but... jump in the shower today and got wood! This hasn't happened in over 6 six years. Out of the shower and jumped Wifey. With a desent BJ, no wood. Go figure. Injected to get hard, busted in 5 mins. another 2 hours of pain, tri-mix woody. time to move on to an implant.

This phenomonon has been recorded in the medical literature. The presumption is that two circumstances combine to allow it.

1 The surgeon used a "tissue-sparing" technique (which your surgeon apparently denies)

2 The implant blocks off venous leakage.

These are just suppositions. But I read one study wherein out of 100 men, 50 regained some erectile function (not enough for coitus), and one of those 50 DID get rigid enough (just barely) to achieve vaginal penetration. This is my best recollection and I do not have the link to the article handy.

You are not crazy and not imagining things.

Also, the uninflated implant itself might lend a little support.

Take the win. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. But if yo do find the article, print it out ant give it to your surgeon, just for his education, not as an "I told you so".

i also get morning wood and engorgement without pumping. This was a pleasant surprise as my surgeon told me the same thing about destroying my erectile tissue. Perhaps they dont tell you about this possibility to avoid disappointment if it doesnt happen.
