Hey Doc, you were wrong! I CAN still get natural erections!

Regarding the topic question, please see the answer of a specialist in the field.

"After implantation of the penile prosthesis, is it possible to have an erection?
The answer is it depends! It is essential that the corpora cavernosa be preserved so that the artery continues to feed the spongy tissue and keep the penis irrigated beyond the vertical support guaranteed by the penile implant. "

Therefore, it is what has been talked about many times here in the forum, there is always the possibility of maintaining a residual erection by filling the spongy tissue, if it is preserved and if this irrigation already exists before the surgery.
Strange is that some urologists seem to be unaware of this reality.

My surgery was "tissue sparing" but I'm not able to get an erection, even a partial one. However, even though my dick doesn't get hard anymore at the sight of a beautiful, minimally-clothed woman, I still feel that old familiar "stirring in my loins", which I enjoy immensely!
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 76 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.

Yes, I feel very fortunate to have any natural stirring left in my dick, despite my doctor being so certain that I'm wrong. It's kind of like getting a bonus gift with your purchase.

Dr. Eid talks about this in the "Dilation of the corpora" section of this page:

Interesting that in Dr. Eid's diagrams, the corporotomies are about where mine are, although the rear tips go down through the corpora along with the tubing along the inflatable portion so the tubing and the silicone cylinders share the proximal corpora with one another (a practice noted in AMS documentation as being discouraged because it sometimes causes saline lockup when trying to deflate because the cylinder pinches the tubing within the inflated corpora).

My corporotomies are right at the penoscrotal incision area or very close so they're located right in the front underside of my penis where it meets the scrotum but I can actually feel the AMS 700 CX tubing ports exiting the corporotomies, rather than just the tubing as in Dr. Eid's diagrams.

Also, I don't have the corpora "Y" out as much or as deep as his drawings because they terminate right there under the pubic bone, so sayeth the doctor based on his surgical notes detailing the extension of the right corporotomy extremely proximally to clear scar tissue to permit the seating of the rear tip, along with the fact that I have a 15cm implant and have a 15.25cm penis.
