Is it like a deodorant aerosol in your trousers

Postby smphead » Mon Nov 09, 2020 2:06 am

This sounds maybe as a silly question  Sorry if it is, but for me as not having an implant it's difficult to understand what's like in daily life.

Cause most implant are the size of a 150ml deodorant aerosol (?) and always semi-hard i wonder if i get an idea by wearing two briefs, one for closing my own genitals and then another one with a deodorant aerosol between the two briefs.

Is this a way to get an idea what it's like to have an implant? How noticble it is in different trousers, how mobile you are ect, ect.

Thanx all.

My Titan has been in place for more than twelve years. It is slightly stiffer deflated than before the surgery, but it is nothing like a rigid cylinder as you describe. It will feel a little different from your natural state, but not intrusively so. You will grow completely used to it quite rapidly and not be consciousy aware of it.

Not a silly question at all. I asked the same thing of myself before I got an implant. Extensive reading of medical journals and (eventually, when I found FrankTalk) here.

Among the many, many threads discussing how it is to life with an Implant in daily life, here is one very recent one that will be very informative to you.

There is a large difference between an Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (IPP) implant and a Malleable (also called flexible) implant. The malleable stays the same size and stiffness/rigidity, but can be positioned (bent) for stowage when not in use. The malleable is the least convenient to live with in daily life.

The Coloplast devices are made of a material the maker call "Bioflex". It is a plastic much like a very heavy plastic bag, but with the stiffness of a sheet of a starched shirtcollar. Over a few months, the stiffness relaxes but it never gets as soft as the AMS devices. Inflated, the tube is as rigid or more than your best natural erection.

The AMS devices are made of a polyester cloth ("Dacron", I believe is the trade name, copyrighted and patented), so is very flexible, but like sailcoth (many sails are made of dacron), does not stretch. So, when inflated, depends on the pressure of the saline inside the IPP for rigidity. It, too, will be as rigid or more than your best natural erection. Coloplast may have a slight advantage in ultimate rigidity, but that goes beyond normal human capacity. The AMS IPP's cloth is coated inside and out with medical grade silicone so the saline inside the IPP cannot migrate out.

The weave of the AMS LGX and the weave of the AMS CX are different, allowing the LGX to expand (between flaccid and erect) in length without folds in the tubes. The Coloplast and AMS CX also can change length between erect and flaccid by accordion-like folds in the IPP tubes.

So, the malleable is least convenient in daily life. The Coloplast is troublesome to some users, but manageable for most and for some, no trouble at all. They get softer over a few months. The AMS units are the most like a natural penis when uninflated.

Thank you lostsheep.

So if i 'wear' a deodorant aerosol as i've mentioned does that give a clear idea how much my implant will be noticible in jeans, pants, jogging trousers ect

I don't think a 150 ml rigid tube would be in any way similar to a flaccid inflatable prosthesis. Your implanted penis will be very much like it is now.

I think the OP is getting confused between implanted penis size and the reservoir size. The reservoir is in an empty space in your abdomen and when the implant is not inflated, the reservoir holds the saline. I believe the Titan goes up to 100-120cc (mL) but most smaller implants go up to 65cc (mL).

The implanted penis when deflated will be approximately the same volume as your unimplanted penis when stretched out.
