Replacement Implant

Postby Jamie123 » Tue Oct 27, 2020 1:38 pm

Hello I originally got an AMS 700 LGX 18cm + 3cm rte but found I’m not getting an upright erection my penis is still hanging down when inflated . I consulted a new urologist who said it could be due to prepubic fat or the rear tip extenders and said a longer cylinder 21cm may help without any rte. He said he couldn’t guarantee the results though . Does anyone have a view on this could it be down to the rte or is it more likely due to the prepubic fat pad . Thanks.

Mechanically, I don't understand how the prepubic fat pad could affect the angle of your erection. Can you explain? Did the Doctor you consulted explain?

I do understand how having a 21cm implant vs a 21cm (18 + 3) would make a difference in erection stability (if not angle). Having the inflatable portion of the implant held in the grip of the pelvic crus as opposed to just the rear tip and the joint between the rear tip and inflatable tube out in front makes a difference just as having a two-handed sword vs a one-handed sword does.

The angle MIGHT be the same, but the stability would LIKELY be improved.

On the other hand, the 3cm RTEs might have been necessary to position the tubing close to the incision. Did the Doctor you consulted address that question?

If I press my fat pad and hold it against my pubic bone, my angle rises slightly from 4:00-4:30 to about 3:30. I think this is entirely possible due to the weight of of the fat pad and the way it affects the skin of my pubic area. The difference is very subtle but real for mine.

Hi the Doctor said the prepubic fat pad could be pressing down on the implant therefore affecting the angle as far as the tubing goes I’m not sure of the answer . Thanks

Same here. And if I pull up on my belly, my erection follows upward. I suspect the suspensory ligament gets pulled up at the same time as I do this and it helps raise the angle of my erection. But it is hard to do this during coitus, so it really is academic for me.

But, yeah, gravity affecting the flesh above the penis would certainly press downward and, like dominos, every part of you falls against the next part in line.
