Right and Left RTE location CT scan

I went to see an implant specialist at KU Medical in KC today. Surgery scheduled for 12-11-20. He is going to try to repair the RTE end of the cylinder. He confirmed that the images show text book evidence of the proximal end of the cylinder being out of the crus and not supported as do pointing left and the supported cylinder bowing. He said he will try to put it into my crus but there may be damage and scar tissue that prevents this. If so he will attempt to make a sling and secure it so that it is supported and eliminate my pain from having sex. A pain train is in the station after 2 inflations in the doc's office and the probing he did. The 3 hour drive home did not help. But after 2 1/2 years of trying to get my local doctors to listen to me I am relieved to hopefully have this fixed and get back to having some fun. I hope to get him to have the AMS rep present in case a full revision is needed. Really excited that 2021 may be very good year for me.

I am glad you finally got a Urologist that is willing to help. My Dr did the exact same thing, she made a sling for the rear of the right cylinder to set in. I’ll find out how it works on Dec 7

Thank you PC. Just reading your signature that your trouble happened in 2017? So you were almost 4 years with this? So I guess it was difficult for you to get doctors to do something for you also. How did you cope with this for those years? The doctor who will cut on me 2 weeks from Friday said this is not a rare occurrence and I have found a number of publications on the repair and prevention of this so I wonder why this is not checked for and found so much earlier than with both of us.

At least I just have 2 weeks to set around and think about this. And I have enough going on to stay busy. And I had a longer conversation and examination with this doctor than my first implant surgeon. I researched him 3 years ago and did so again before I went to see him. So I feel pretty good about about rolling the dice on this now. And it is basically free save travel expenses.

Well surgery was canceled due to Covid and staffing shortages. May see about going somewhere else.

The hospitals are doing the same thing here. I was lucky enough to get my surgery prior to the lock down. I see the Urologist on Dec 7th to get activated.

I called the uro's office in Atlanta I had a tele visit with before BCBS sent me to the KC uro and they said they are still doing surgery's. I have a contacted the KC uro's office and BCBS and am trying to get them to send me to Atlanta. I feel pain constantly and avoid setting down a lot of the time if I don't have a recliner to use. Admin offices have locked out certain procedure codes in KC. Might be a blessing though as the KC doc was not going to have a device rep at my surgery. Nor have the time for replacing anything if needed. I had several messages with his office and could not get them to understand that I did not want to chance having to come back for another surgery in case part or all of my device needed to be replaced. Have fingers, arms, and legs crossed hoping for good luck. I just want the pain gone and to be able to use this again.

The Atlanta Doctors office contacted me after the first of the year and said they were going to work on this and that it would take some time. Had not had any contact since then. So I called this morning and was told that they changed staff and the new staff had no records of this. So starting over again. Now I am rethinking going to a place that can just drop me and all info of what is going on.

Maybe the "new" staff needs to be told about this new invention that all the modern medical offices have went to. It's called a computer. Geez, do they really rely on tribal knowledge there? Unbelieveable excuse in my opinion.

When I talked to the doctor and advised all the past problems he advised a total replacement. So this may be a problem with insurance. And I had trouble and am still having trouble getting the 2 doctors offices to work together on this. The guy in state just wants to do the sling and will not even have device rep at the surgery. So really no way for him to correct anything that is found in addition to building the sling or reattaching the one side of the Crus if it tore loose. And I have not ask or found info on a revision after a sling procedure. It took my whole office visit and time to convince the doctor of the tip issue and no time to talk about my other issues. I tried to make another appointment but and as questions via messaging but when I talked to the nurse she made it clear that they were not wanting to talk to me again. It's been 3 years with this and I could wait another year for medicare but really hate that it seems maybe insurance is preventing this some how.

Well brothers I go in Tuesday to have the KC doctor fix the Crural Perforation that was done in my first surgery. KC doctor is not going to address my glans hypermobility or replace the problematic device I have. Just could not wait and chance more problems and the constant pain is really getting old. Most likely will have to wait another year for Medicare to go to a really good doctor to replace this wonky device and do something with my glans hypermobility. And will have to wait until then to be able to have full on sex with a partner. Local doctors do not do any repairs or replacements. And part of my consult over 3 years ago was the local guys have such poor results that many men have the device removed after implant. Only reason the KC guy is even doing the fix is it is KU medical school and he is using me as a teaching experience for his students. That was his very words he said to me. Sucks big time to need a properly working IPP in KS. He told me some other things that make me doubt his truthfulness. Said he has implant devices on hand and does not need a device rep in the OR. Had a paper for the procedure made up for replacement and penned in repair possible. Pretty sure he has no intention of doing a full replacement. I think they are just doing what ever they have to to get me in the OR and once I'm out they will do what ever they want.

If you have any spare good luck laying around send it this way. I can sure use a bit of it. I still have this feeling the KC doctor is going to show is students the perforation and remove my implant and send me home. Just can't shake that thought of it being what insurance is telling them to do in KS.
