Surgery was Monday Nov 9th, the Urologist found the right corpus cavernosum was punctured. So that meant the right cylinder was freely moving every time I inflated. That caused the erection to lean to the right. The old Titian was removed and returned to Coloplast for failure review. The Urologist had to create a sling of sutures for the new right cylinder to back up to. The new photos are the day of surgery and five days days post-op

Thank you PC for the info. I was kind of wanting the RTE's fixed and maybe the pump checked good and see about a fix for it without replacing it rather than a full revision. But as I will be apro. 3 years post op and have issues with the pump and tips in my glans also I can see that the full revision will be needed.

Wish you good things ahead and 20 + years on this one. Seems to me you deserve it.

Thanks newbie443, the cost of the revision will all come down to your insurance. The Dr just wanted to repair/replace what was leaking, since the manufacture was picking up the tab the entire thing had to be removed and replaced. They literally took the old one back to be reviewed for failures.

All you brothers and to be brothers looking at this should understand that we are just a very few that have problems and we all are determined to get it fixed. Having this removed and not replaced is not an option for me. Even with the problems I have had, I have had some really good times with my implant and only wish I had done this years earlier. Do I wish it had been right the very first time? Oh yes. And do I wish it didn't take almost 3 years to get the doctors to acknowledge that there was something really wrong. A equally big yes. Still going to take a while for me with the new Covid lock downs going on but my wish is to die with an erection. :D :D

I paid out of pocket for the first one. I really need help from insurance to do this again. My doing it when I did was that this one to get me to Medicare and have supplemental to pay for the entire second one. That is still a ways off and enough so that I want it fixed before I cause something bad like infection. That has been my biggest concern over the last 2 years. Had I not gone to my Gastro doc (actually his PA, she was very understanding) my uro guy would still not have done anything. He even tried really hard not to do anything as I can still inflate but I had the CT scan and pictures. I think it finally kicked in he would be opening himself up to a law suit by continuing to do nothing. I really need to move to a place that has better doctors.

I can’t even imagine your frustration after paying for it out of pocket !

Yes. If you watch the video of my surgery in my signature you can see that I go hard left when released after the test inflation after I was stitched up. Same thing the next morning when my cath was removed. Still that way. Looks like this _\_ when I look down standing. Had some uses though. Found several positions I could use that to push up against my partners G spot. But just too much pain when it is forced straight like this _l_ and pushed in towards my body. I can still inflate as long as I do not force it straight and can still masturbate as long as I don't push into my body. Local doc just did a partial inflation and said it was not that bad. Even after seeing the print outs of the CT scan.

Thing is I had other problems before this. The first before I even left the east coast to fly home and then another that compounded the first one when I started cycling. So yes it was far from a smooth perfect outcome that I was looking for. But on the positive side I did not have infection. I did not stay local and have the local guy stitch my glans down on my cylinders if they undersized me. I am able to have an erection again. Albeit not my healthy youth size but within an 1". I was able to date and have sex with women again (even though it was painful). And I did help them have a lot of orgasms. And I had the close physical contact with women again. So there was enough good to keep me going and I had the plan of getting everything fixed when I was able to go on Medicare. May cost me a bit next year after covid lock down is lifted but it will be worth it. As I cut my girlfriends loose and am not dating for fear of something bad happening I hope to be back at it in 6 months or so. That is if insurance will help. If not in a little over a year I will be where I am now looking for someone to fix this. Just need to keep this one working enough to maintain size until then.
