Scrotoplasty

Postby October26 » Thu Oct 08, 2020 11:01 pm

I have been reading the past postings and there is not much talk of scrotoplasty as part of the IPP procedure. My Dr. says she will do a scrotoplasty when she does the Titan implant. Could someone who has had this tightening say what it is like in recovery? Did it add any problems? Was it a good thing in the end? Is it just a visual thing or is there some other reason? Are you glad you had it? And finally, any advice on how I can speed up recovery with the scrotoplasty? I understand mine will be pretty extensive.

I had Scrotoplasty during my implant surgery. My surgeon used the Penoscrotal method so it was simply a longer incision up my penile shaft. I am happy I had it done. It is more for appearance than anything. There was nothing I was unable to do when I had the webbing. It took longer to heal by about a week than the average implant recovery time because there were times when the stitches on my penis rubbed against the stitches on my scrotum and it slowed the healing. Originally my surgeon said I should be able to have sex after four weeks but he asked me to wait for five weeks instead for the incision to fully heal to prevent infection. I would definitely do it again. The only comment I can say about speeding up recovery time is it has to tak it's course and in the grand scheme of life it is worth allowing everything to fully heal to get the best results.

I have attached before and after photos for you to see the change.

I had it done. Same approach as Greg1956, ie, infra-scrotal. I can't say it added any time to recovery, just a bit more to keep clean while things heal up. I had been using a VED prior to getting an implant and it would balloon up all the time so I figured it was excessive and wanted it gone. I haven't been able to take Lil' Alfa for a test drive yet but the modification makes the package look longer.

I am glad my doctor suggested the scrotoplasty. I think it makes the erect penis look even better. I am very happy with the look and glad I did not have swelling, bruising or even much discomfort. The incision is still tender 7 weeks out.

I wanted it done at the same time as the implant but my surgeon thought it best to do as a separate surgery. No thanks. I'll continue to live with the webbing!
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 76 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.
