Implanted on Wednesday...

Hi guys, I was recently implanted with AMS 700 but wasn't given much information on what to do post op apart from pull the pump down in my scrotum so that the pump is easier to use once things heal up.

does it matter what position my penis is in now that I am at home? Since the bandages were removed my penis has just been hanging straight down like it normally did before I had the op. Should I keep it pointing upwards towards my belly button or does it really matter?

how long will it be before I can start pumping. I am due a follow up appointment but I am not sure when that will be because of the covid situation.

Any other advice would be nice
Thanks in advance.

Hey there sonnyjim, had my implant on Sept.10th. Like you I was told to periodically pull pump downward. Was inflated to 60-80% so when bandage and catheter were removed following morning, I only had one way to point,,,,straight out. Was told on release from hospital to wear a jock strap for support and keep it pointed up if possible. In my case, not possible. Sutures were removed 10 days later and Dr deflated to maybe 10%, at which time I was able to point it up.

Now at 16 days post op, things healing up nicely, and per Dr instructions have begun cycling twice daily. Every doctor is different as far as to when to start cycling. Mine suggests starting around two weeks if it can be done comfortably. Other doctors recommend waiting for 6 weeks. Think if best to follow your doctors recommendation.Best of luck on your recovery and enjoy!

Hey, thanks for the reply.

I was 80% inflated when I came out of the operating room and stayed that way until the next day about 24 hours. Then they removed the bandages and deflated me to about 10% and I went home so not sure whether I should be worried or not. My penis is just hanging normally and has been for the last 3 days so I'm unsure

I don't know if that could affect the angle of erection once I do start cycling.

What do you think?

I wish they gave me more instructions it's not like I can knock on my neighbours door and ask.

I was implanted on the 1st and left 60% inflated. After the catheter and drain were removed I was told to wear thighty whiteys and keep my wiener up towards my belly. I had just gotten some jock straps and went that route. It's meant to help prevent a downward bend. It added another degree of discomfort but at the 2 week mark it started getting more comfortable. I have noticed a bit of hinging but it goes away quickly once Alfa Jr is let loose and my Uro's aid didn't seem concerned and to just keep pulling the pump down(carefully)

Oh right.
I wish they would of just left it inflated it would of saved me some confusion. Maybe it doesn't matter as much if you arent inflated? I'm supposed to have a follow up appointment in a week or so I just don't want my penis to be pointing sideways or anything

I've never been this worried in my life. WTF.

I was implanted myself on the first of September. Left about 50% inflated for the first week. I got permission to start lightly cycling after the first week and deflated it after the first time cycling. It's perfectly natural to be scared of anything unknown, especially something involving our dicks. Kinda precious to us guys LOL
Everything gets better and better. It was a little painful for a while but everything's good now. No pain and the new flaccid size is a bonus. I am looking forward to being given the go ahead for sex. I know it's a process but I can see where it's going to be worth it now. I was scared like you. I think most of us were. This site has offered some real support and the guys here are great. Congratulations on your new bionic dick. I hope everything goes well for all newbie's

Dang I was left inflated about 60% after my implant for 5 weeks. That was tough figuring out anywhere my dick would sit without hurting. At that point doc told me to go "use it" and that was all I got for training.
It takes time, but in the end you'll love the results.

I can't lie, I'm a little worried that everyone else was left inflated and I wasn't.

I'm wondering if this will have any negative effects like causing bends or anything like that? I am expecting to start cycling it next week.

Was anyone else left deflated after the second day or just me?

Stop worrying. You're gonna be OK. Every surgeon does it differently. Leave it alone until your appointment. btw, i did not start cycling until week 6.

SonnyJim,

My advice is don't worry about it. Every Doctor seems to have their own protocol ... mine left me completely uninflated for 4 weeks after surgery - only then did I start cycling.

Everything has turned out just fine. ;)
