If a picture is worth more than a thousand words, then two pictures should be priceless.
Here is my "flaccid" 4 days after surgery, and another picture from 1-2 years ago showing my flaccid as it looks now.
Should also be noted that Eid basically leaves his patients (at least he did in 2015) deflated after surgery.
His view is (at least was, don't know if it has changed) that the best protocol is to leave the dick deflated to allow for the reservoir to be full.
If leaving the reservoir half full (and likewise the dick half full) for a few weeks, scar tissue will/can form around the half full reservoir, which can make complete deflation problematic in the future.
Then of course, his strategy is based on early activation, otherwise problem is just transferred to scar tissue forming around deflated cylinders in the dick. But most of his patients start inflating already the first week.

Anyway, the first pic of my swollen deflated dick 4 days after surgery does not look nice. Foreskin very swollen as well as it sits behind my glans. And going down the hotel lobby to get some food etc was a pain in the ass with that dick. Difficult to hide, to say the least.
And it is almost all due to swelling. Blood and other body fluids. And of course partly down to the inherent stiffness of the Titan cylinders. Which also will disappear over time.
The bath tub in the background brings back some memories... That is from Bentley Hotel at Manhattan. And the time spent in that bath tub was the best time of the day for those first couple of weeks...

As for the second pic, It should make it obvious that if you have a shitty flaccid with a Titan, it is not because a Titan will always give everyone a shitty flaccid. It is rather because your doc fucked up. Wrong implant for your dick, wrong size, too many RTEs, leaving you partly inflated for too long after surgery which meant your reservoir lost its full capacity, etc, etc. If things are done correctly, your flaccid will hang down even with a Titan.

When did my flaccid start to look like in the second pic? Don't remember. And it is not that you go from pic 1 to pic 2 overnight. It's a gradual process of course. But I had issues with my flaccid for the first few months for sure. Remember it was difficult to hide it in suit pants.
After a year it was ok, but not as good as in second pic.
After two years? Yeah, I'd say that it probably had reached second pic status by then.
Why such slow progress? What is it that is changing?
Well a few things.
Body fluids, swelling must disappear. This is probably a couple of months till it has completed.
You must learn to deflate probably. Also a learning curve.
And maybe the most long-lasting effect, the cylinders' material must loosen up. This is a slow process which happens over one or two years. Maybe even more. As the Bioflex material ages and absorbs fat, it softens. This is good not only for the flaccid hang, but in my opinion/experience, it is also good for making the implant feel more natural when inflated.

That is certainly a positive story that everyone can hope for. My implant is a 23.5 cm Titan so we will see how close I come to your experience over time.

I just had my first mini-meal and another pain med. I have a 24 cm Titan with one RTE each side. Looks good but not sure what size is in the offing. 12.5cm distal and 11cm proximal. Do yo understand those numbers as they relate to a Titan? Can you speculate on size etc! The doctor said the girth would be really goood and this was a perfect case. I thank you as much as I can!

From your distal and proximal measurements, I'd estimate you'll probably be at around 13cm length, possibly a bit more bone-pressed. But it's not a perfect science, I think. A much better measurement will come when you've had the chance to cycle, and have had swelling come down enough to get a real bone-pressed measurement again.

The distal and proximal measurements are to determine the length of cylinders to be placed. There is no way to determine penis length from these measurements.
I wrote an explanation a couple of days ago, with a sketch to explain it. I do not know how to make a link to that post.

I will just have to wait and see. The swelling is mostly gone and I measure 5.5 inches. I am partially inflated but it is a Titan so probably another .5 inches, which is great. Just glad to have the ability to get hard!

If you share the title of the post, I can probably find it. I'm really interested in the explanation, since I at least found the measurement to match up with my length post-op. I guess the key piece of information would be proximal and distal to what, since those are relative measurements. I would expect it's relative to the corporotomy incision? See, now you have me curious...Surely there's guidance on location of the corporotomy incision, so proximal and distal measurements should have SOME relationship with the length of usable penis, I would think.

Anyway, eager to check out your post! And yes, waiting until you are all healed up is the only way to know for sure, even if there's some relationship there.

I think that's the attitude to have! I also think Freddy is right that my measurements are probably a bit off...Maybe due to your method being penoscrotal vs my doc doing infrapubic (my proximal measurement is almost exactly my length).

Either way, the thing to focus on now is healing up...followed by getting as much use as you can out of that newfound superpower!

My wife reminded me that the Dr. told me after the procedure that she was surprised how much of the implant was external, whatever that means? I see the measurements of the implant on the invoice but maybe when inflated during surgery it turns out to be more external. Anyone heard of such a thing? That sounds consistent with the theory that the location of the measuring point has an impact on final erect length. Jus wild speculation on my part.

I'm on the drastic side of that. I have a 15 cm implant and my penis length is 5.5" or 13.97 cm. Factoring in about 0.5" of glans without the implant I've got 5.0" (12.7 cm) of implant in my visible penis and the 0.9" (2.3 cm) is inside. That is a 50:9 ratio or almost 5:1 rather than 2:1 average.

I assumed that the the surgeon was looking at the inflated penis at the end of the procedure and thought that the length and girth were more than she thought it old be—at least that’s what I hope. Just keep saying I am in this to get something that works. I have never had a reliable erection. On the other hand, I am sitting here with a six inch flaccid hard Titan that won’t even bend! What a change in luck!
