Hope you're feeling better today! I hated the catheter and drain. Sent me home with both and had to remove myself the next morning. Take it slow and easy, I tried to push things and ended up paying for it.

Dang. Surgery Tuesday am. Pain worse today than yesterday which was worse than Tuesday. Have not taken the strong stuff but may tonight. How many days before pain goes the other direction ?

I had my surgery on the 1st., catheter removed on the 2nd., by the end of the 3rd no pink in the urine. A bit more bruising showed up but that is, for the most part, gone. My Doc didn't prescribe opiates and instead gave me a script for 7 days worth of extra strength Tylenol, Motrin and anti-bios. I did the recommended dosage throughout but could tell I should get some more Tylenol. I try to only take 1 about 2 hours before bed. In the day I get a bit achy if I'm on my feet too much but a little reclining goes a long way. I also supplement with a bit of cannabis which helps remarkably well. I wouldn't hesitate to start using the strong stuff for a couple days at least. I think a lot of my bruising was because of the catheter; a necessary evil. Long story short about 7 days and stay off your feet as much as possible.
