Auto deflate after surgery?

Postby proctor » Tue Sep 01, 2020 7:51 am

Does newly installed implant get auto deflated? I heard about auto inflation but may not have heard the opposite. I had mine inflated at 60%, but after 5 days it seems it has softened a bit (40% , give and take 10).

Anybody ever experienced that, or it’s my illusion.

That's normal at this stage. It's reduction in swelling, not deflation.

Hope so. I was thinking whether my sitting posture may have activated defate function....

The deflate button on the valve on my AMS device is virtually impossible to accidentally push. Do you have a Coloplast, AMS or Rigicon or something else?

May I suggest you put your vital statistics in your signature block? Type of implant (size, if you are so inclined and number of RTEs) date when implanted, scrotal or pubic incision, erect size if you are so inclined to share that information, if you lost (or gained) size post-implant. It helps us fill out a mental picture of you and your status/situation which may help inform our answers to questions you post.

Thanks, LS. Tried to be more specific in my signature.
