2nd year and still pain when inflated hard

Postby oldbeek » Tue Sep 01, 2020 12:31 am

Went to see my surgeon today to have an AUS 800 activated. While there I told him of my implant pain when fully pumped. Starts hurting in 3 to 5 minutes. He said let's take a look. He pumped me about 20 pumps till the pain started. Then he took the penis in both hands and bent it like trying to break it. WOW, that hurt. He told me when cycling to get it hard then bend it. He said the material accordions and needs to be bent to release it. He said if I do this I will probably gain more length if I get back to daily cycling . Hey I thought I had all my original length back, but I won't complain.

I would check with the AMS patient liaison for the manufacturer's thoughts on that.

Personal and VERY SPECULATIVE opinion of my own: The LGX only lengthens so far before the material of which it is made reaches its limit. That you feel pain upon pumping up suggests that YOUR tissues are the ones that need stretching, not the implant's. I think applying vacuum to your penis when pumped up to the point of pain/discomfort might be more effective.

Keep in mind that I am no sort of medical professional.

I believe that's what Oldbeek's doctor was saying. The accordion folds were causing pain because *HE* wasn't expanding as much as the length of the cylinder. The BEND actually was stretching him agains the full cylinder (called "MODELLING") and put extra stress on his tissues and pulled out the folds.

That made perfect sense to me. I've recently noticed some odd soreness when none should be experienced and I figured out that it's the compression folds (accordion folds or dog-ears). If I put 2-3 pumps in it stretches things out so they don't fold up and the soreness abates. I don't practice the partial pump consistently though. Only if I plan for action and don't want soreness to impede my ability to "get busy". Besides, the additional bulge makes "getting busy" more interesting or hopefully likely... :)

Wow, this sounds like the best bad news ever! I’m sorry you’re in pain but, enjoy that growth!

Lost Sheep has a valid point. I stopped vacuum at nine months. At that time I could fully pump and stay inflated all night with zero tip pain. Well now I've shrunk some and cannot fully inflate without tip pain. I would never make an all nighter. Using vacuum has its advantages. But I don't need to fully inflate anyway. Much harder than needed at 60%.
