I used an ice pack with a cloth as a barrier of the skin. Don't leave it on for long periods of time...it can cause frost bite.

I had internal swelling for 30 days as went back to Dr. Kramer for first inflate and he said was still swollen and wait a bit longer. He ha to do extra work in the lower left section where he found the scar tissue. Waited another period of time and glad I did as it would have been painful if not. Take your time and I also used ice for a number of days.
Implanted March 2nd by Dr. Kramer with AMS/LGX. Had a problem lower left (scar tissue) and he placed a larger (thicker) implant as you can here on the YouTube video. Got all back, ED over 10 years before Implant.

Just keep to the icing routine. I stayed swollen, especially under my left testicle, for 7 weeks or so. I was implanted June 23, 2020. Everything keeps getting better as time goes by....stay the course!

I had very little swelling and bruising from my surgery. But I prepared ahead of time and had bags dry beans with me. I was really concerned about infection and did not want anything with water in it near my incision. I also had food and drinks prepared a head of time and my hotel room set up so I could stay flat. Dry beans do not melt and clump like ice or frozen veggies. I had 3 bags and rotated them. I also had discharge instructions when I was discharged that gave me information on what I should and should not do. You might check your paper work to see what you have. If not contact your Uro and see if they can send some and answer your questions. The length of time you are to remain inflated after surgery varies. So your uro has this info and may adjust for cases that heal fast or slow. Good luck with this and keep us up to date on your progress. And ask any questions you have. Take care.

Thanks all for the advice. I consulted with Dr Kramer and it turned out that its not as bad as I was thinking. It will reduce a bit but not probably to earlier pre op days. Now my next challenge is to overcome the lack of bowel movement. I am on day 4 and so far feeling no urge for toilet. What worked for you? Prune juice or something else?

I had a pre op packet as well as discharge instructions, and one or both advised stool softeners. He makes a hole (hernia) to insert the reservoir up next to your bladder so you should take it easy and not strain while this heals. I did not have any problem with this and don't remember if I took any or for how long. If I did it was just after surgery as I did not want problems for the flight home. Good luck with this and let us know if you have any other questions.
