Another Failure :(

It appears I have another failure with my implant. The pump will pump several pumps but then its flat. The erection starts but is not full..... in my signature you can see I've had some issues along the way. I don't seem to go longer than four years... I am old and don't have sex every day but I guess my luck ain't been so good with the implants. With all these problems I would do the surgery again and again. It has been a tremendous help. The only thing is I get very depressed when it fails.. :( :(
Anyone got worse luck than me? My wife doesn't know its broken yet. She hates going to the hospital for that nights stay after surgery. She have previously said if it failed again we would just enjoy life without sex but I don't think I can handle that mentally. Its like I am not a man when I can't have an erection.

My revision was 1 year to the week of my first implant. Health issues with my wife so we do not have sex as much as we both would like. Got my revision for me. If this thing fails, getting it fixed till the doc says nope can't fix it anymore.

But if she's in the mood. We are having sex. And I can.

Thanks for responding. Which device you like the best? I have had the Titan since day one. They have replaced the complete device once and the pump the third time. The pump connection to the tube burst. I am not sure whats going on this time but I know there is a problem. I just can't explain why I get so depressed when it messes up. Just not sure why.

Always sad to read problems like these. It has been said that Coloplast has more tubing failures and AMS more cylinder failures but they are about the same when averaged out. Both seem to have pump problems. I hope the pump will correct as many problems seem to. Wishing the best for you. If you do need to have another surgery maybe you could talk your wife into going home after the surgery and returning in the morning to pick you up. That would make it easier on her. Mine works but points left from the base. If I use it to have sex and it is forced straight I have a lot of pain. I cannot afford a revision now so I have stopped dating. The local Uro's do not do revisions so I am worried that if I hurt something really bad they will just remove it and leave me with nothing. So just taking it easy and inflating every few days to try to keep some size until medicare will pay for me to go to someone who does revisions. Insurance can be a bitch a lot of the time. I am still glad I did it when I did. It had been too long since I had been intimate with a women. I did get to have sex with women again for a while and looking forward to it again. Take care and best of luck going forward with this.

Try another doc maybe. Dr. Kramer is the best.

Ronn,
I feel for you. Same attitude here. I need an erection for me. If I were in your place I would switch to a one piece without hesitation. Talk to your Doc then do it. No more pump problems ever.

Isn’t the one piece hard all the time? I like the device I have and not sure about the one piece. I saw a guy at the gym and he was erect but it was pointed down. It didn’t look very nice or comfortable.

Dr Christine does a lot of these surgeries and he is really a great doctor. His staff is also excellent. I think this is a device issue not my doctor. It thanks for your reply

I looked at the one piece. Nope. I will stay with my 3 piece till they tell me they cannot ever fix it again. Then maybe a 1 piece. Maybe.
