When I pump it up , it only takes 2 pumps then I can’t pump it anymore. I don’t feel like I’m totally erect but it’s firm. However after 2 pumps there is just no way to put anymore into it the bulb is hard as a rock after that. I’ve tried many times after inflating to release it and try again but always the same. This is not a new system it’s was initially implanted March 2. After a couple months the right side fell out. Two weeks ago I had surgery that the surgeon reinstalled the right side that fell out. Even in the beginning it never took more than maybe 6 pumps. Now it’s just two.

10 pumps - hard enough to penetrate
20 pumps - hard as I was at 20 years old
30 pumps - hard enough to knock Lancelot off his horse

It sounds like there is still a problem with your pump. Phone AMS and see if they can help.

That is nowhere near enough. Pump wall to wall, not just little pumps. If you get really hard, try again in about 5 minutes, you should be able to get more. If no, contact your surgeon, it could be a kink in the tubing or a block. I am up between 20 and 30 wall to wall pumps to get hard and that's for a size 15 AMS LGX

WHY DOES NUMBER PUMPs SOMETIME VARY?

Does anyone have a theory on why our AMS 700 number of pumps required vary sometimes? The norm for me is around 15 but once in a while I have pumped 50 times. Just wondered if something gets screwed up periodically or what? Pretty reliable thus far!

• Hand strength can give different volume per squeeze depending on the person
• Internal diameter of the tunica for each erectile body determines how much expansion is permitted
• Tissue-spared implantation would mean more spongy material so less room to inflate

I'm sure there are other reasons too.

I do not do full pumps(wall of bulb touching opposite wall). And I pump rapidly as there is less time needed between pumps for the bulb to refill. After 30 I stop as my cylinders inflate differently. After a few minutes the tips even out. I could have sex at this point but I am maybe 80%. To achieve max size I do 20 more pumps for 100%. After you are fully healed (about 6 months) and trying to stretch I will rub my shaft and pull the glans so as to keep the tips of the cylinders from causing erosion. Every 5 minutes or so I add more pumps. The bulb is really hard and I squeeze hard and I can pump the bulb from the middle to the rounded end farthest from the block. I can do this forever. Like there is a pressure relief valve that I trigger. But I do feel stretching for a while and when it subsides I pump again. My hand is not very strong and I have pain with my thumb. So I use the index and middle finger on one side and the meaty thumb part on my palm on the other. I do this for an hour or until the stretching discomfort will not go away and becomes a bit of pain. I have pumped more than 100 times many times but these are not full pumps. And the partial rapid pumps seem easier for me to do than full pumps. So full pumps would be less and not achievable for the stretching part anyway. I have tried all the inflating methods in my AMS user dvd and have found this best for me. Early on heat really helps. I used a heating pad. Then when my incision fully healed hot water from shower. I do not take bathes but this is an option also once your incision is healed and you are cleared by your doctor to do so. If none of this works then call the AMS rep as they have fixes not in the dvd and not known by most doctors.

I can maybe do one wall to wall pump, the rest are little pumps to get me there, and still I max out at about 8 or 9 pumps now. I just don't have the thumb strength to squeeze it hard enough. I am curious if I would get bigger if I could squeeze harder. They should make some device to help pump for you for those that have weaker thumbs. I almost thought about using a clothesline pin or something to try to squeeze it harder, but figure that would just crush the scrotal skin.
