As for the different names. On newer drugs the original maker owns the drug for a few years. Once that time is over, you can buy it with a "generic" name. Normally a lot cheaper than when the drug was owned by someone. Perhaps you might understand how Viagra was sold. Now it is available as a generic using a different name.
If his staff will give you the name. I'm sure that your local pharmacist will recognize the name. If not, he should have a cross reference book. If not, ask us. I'm sure that we can find several different name. He shold reconize one of them.
I was in the Netherlands many years ago. I caight a simple cold. I was able to buy my normal over the counter drug at the local pharmacy. It took a few minutes but all went well.
Keep asking questions. That is what we are here for. Good luck.

Actually I work for a financial company and we are trained on signs of money laundering. Large sums in the multiple thousands range don't in and of themselves signal a potential risk. They do have to be reported to the government however. It's a simple matter of reporting that requires some personal information from the purchaser's or sender's ID.

What does scream "Money Laundering" is what is known as "Structuring" which is breaking up a large transaction into several smaller ones to avoid reaching the reporting threshold. Do not do this or the transaction can be flagged as suspicious.

Hi,
I have my 2nd video consult with Dr. Eid on 11/9 as I am also trying to decide when to schedule the surgery. Personally, I’m more concerned about a lockdown that would prevent me from flying back if complications arose. I plan on staying in NY for at least 10 days after the surgery.

As for the quarentine, it appears NY requires a COVID test 3 days prior to your travel and another one after you arrive. If both are negative, you can move about freely. If they are positive you will be subject to contact tracing and god knows what else. So, I’d wear a mask, gloves and goggles on the flight and in the Uber from the airport. Now that I think about it, I’m more concerned about testing positive in NY than Covid itself.

Good luck and keep us posted!

@wunhunglo

Where can i find more info about this restriction? I had no idea about the restrictions and have my in-person follow-up with Dr. Eid scheduled for the 10th of December.

I've already bought plane tickets and booked hotel from 12-09 to 12-11.
I'm traveling from Los Angeles to New Jersey. Was planning to take a taxi to my hotel in Manhattan.

Now this throws a major wrench in my plans. Any advice or thoughts?

Looks like NJ advices to self-quarantine for 14 days. I'm only going to be in NYC for three days. So I plan on getting tested the day before i leave. Then be ready to get tested once i arrive.

I should then be able to leave to California without any complications.

Planning on just being in hotel and going to the doctor's office. Hopefully it works out ok. This is just for a visit so it's a bit simpler.

In my case I have a national interest exception permission from US consulate in Italy and an exemption for New York State Health Department for my medical procedure.
It states that I can travel to the extent necessary for the procedure but remain in quarantine for 14 days otherwise.
I will travel with a family member and she also has a the permission as companion.
But I will have to go out to do the covid pcr test 4/5 days before the procedure and then i will have to visit doctor Eid office a few days before the surgery.
Do you think that it's allowed with my exemptions? I tried to call NYC covid hotline and Department of Health but I've not received a clear answer about that.

I read that you are allowed to break quarantine for medical reasons. Please check the NY covid website or the governors office.

I'm allowed to break the quarantine for medical procedure, but it's not really specified if I can also break it to do things related to the procedure (like covid testing and buying meds). I think it's logical that I'm allowed to do so since travelers that has to do medical procedures have to being tested negative to covid19 five days before the procedure.

Now the big issue for me is find a way to send wire transfer to a bank that doesn't have a bic/swift code. It appears to be impossible to do so sending it as international transfer from banks in my country. I found a website called TransferWise that claims to do so. Basically I have to send a wire transfer to their bank in Europe and then they'll send the amount converted to USD to the receiver bank using bank account number and routing number. But since I have to send a large amount I'm not very confident about using this service.
I'm looking for suggestions because time is not so much, my surgery will be in just 10 days and I have to be able to pay the doctor and the implant at least a couple of days before the surgery.
Anyone can help me? Anyone from outside the USA that did the procedure with Dr.Eid?

I can’t speak about the rules or laws but as a New Yorker I can tell you that everyone is going about their business as normal. We are just all wearing masks. So, go out to get your COVID test. Go get your medications. Go to the store.

No one is going to be stopping you on the street and asking why you aren’t in quarantine.

Just wear a mask all the time and focus on getting everything done for your procedure.

Regarding transfers of money: have you asked Dr Eid’s office how other patients do it? They have an international clientele and may have suggestions. Let them know about the trouble you are having. They may have a solution.

Best wishes on your procedure!

Thank for your suggestions!
I tried to email Dr.Eid office a couple of days ago about this issue but I've not received a reply yet. Time is not much if I have to send international transfer of large sum it may take a while. I'll try to contact Dr.Eid office tomorrow. I usually prefer emails because understanding english on phone is more difficult for me.

Finally I'm now in New York. Everything is ready, today I went to dr. Eid office for a consult and physical examination. Everything is good and I will have the surgery on Thursday.
I am an avid cyclist and I talked with Dr. Eid and he was a little bit concerned about biking with an implant. I do a lot of road and mountain bike. I have no biking issues till now with the ams.
I use a special splitter seat and I am able to do a lot of mountain bike and road biking without any issue. With the titan it will be different? Anyone can share their experiences? Not riding for me will be very very bad and dr. Eid concerns worried me. He told me that road cycling with a splitted seat will be ok but when I talked about mountain bike he said "that's bad..".
