I give up!

Postby Meddman1 » Mon Aug 10, 2020 12:04 pm

Had original implant surgery on March 2,2020. Implant fell out of right side. Had revision surgery on July 31,2020. Friday had some blood tests and an MRSA test for a upcoming neck surgery. The MRSA test came back positive. My balls are like two oranges. Wtf. I’m at a loss of what to do. There’s no way I’m going through this again. I’m ready to sue this surgeon and move on. Can’t take much more of this.

WELL You have to fight it and get the hell out of that hospital or wherever you had the surgery...

Very sorry to hear of the letdown and this is going on the second round. Pray that you don't get that MRSA.....

Have you considered a malleable implant? Basically there's no risk of infection, and you're guaranteed to have a working implant after your procedure.

When my first doctor screwed up I found a better one to fix me. Never go back to a loser! And never give up.

MedMen, was your surgeon one of the one typically mentioned here?

Also, what happened with the first to where it "fell out"?

No none of the drs listed here. The right side literally fell out of the penis. To this day I have no idea how it happened.

Did you do everything you were told? MRSA is not usually something the doctor did, it's normally from something within the environment. My guess is if you told the surgeon that you had MRSA, he would take you back and be overly careful of infection. When I lost my implant due to infection, when the surgeon went in to re-implant me, he did all of this;
- Cap, mask and booties mandatory for everyone in the OR
- Pre surgery IV antibiotics, also during and after surgery
- Once everyone was in the OR, the door was sealed and nobody was allowed to leave
- Exterior surgical field washed with antibiotic wash
- Interior surgical field was washed, rinced and coated with surgical antibacterial wash
- No packaging was opened until just before it was needed
- Surgical field was draped
- AMS implant was chosen because of the desire for LGX and antibiotic coating

Those little bugger bugs were not getting on me, in me or even in my operating room. :)

I have been great ever since December 14, 2017

I get all that. However he didn’t install a new unit. He placed the same one back where it belonged. Ps. MRSA is very common bug to pick up in hospitals.

Everything you listed is standard procedure except ssealing the doors and not allowing anyone to leave. No surgeon would allow anyone without gown mask gloves and booties in the OR. The irrigation procedures is also standard.
