You are only 39. these implants have a life expectancy of 10 yers. You will need revisions. Do you have insurance or is the operation out of pocket. Have you ever met with a specialist in sexual medicine? Do you have venous leakage or is the problem between your ears? Is your T level at 700 or more? Low T is 400 or less. T really affects your libido. Many researchers say high T is what keeps prostate cancer away. Have you tried low dose daily Cialis for a helper? Take it every day. When I was slowing down before my RP at age 70, 5mg of daily Cialis gave me a raging hard on when I was in the mood. Mood comes more often with high T. All these things need to be answered before an implant. Nothing is better than a natural blood filled throbbing dick. Implants are a choice of last resort, Especially for young guys. . Looked up Finasteride Syndrome. The side affects are scary. Even puts you at risk for hi grade PC. Article does say. effects go away with time. What did Goldstein recommend to you as to get an implant or not? How long ago did you stop Finasteride?

Hang in there, you're not the only one going through this. I'm 34 suffering from PFS and Peyronie's. On top of that my wife is not supportive and is mad that i can't get her pregnant because of my ED.

She says the surgery is too expensive if the insurance doesn't pay for it and how i'm putting my family in debt and not leaving them a legacy. I don't even have a car! I have a good job and pay for everything, she doesn't even work! Would she say the same thing if i was buying a car? Ugh, i swear if i didn't have kids and had money to leave i would.

Regardless, i'll continue to fight this on my own I don't care. Only God can help me if he wants to now. I told her i can't live like this, and i won't.

Anyway, did you have a video consultation with Eid yet? When are you planning to go to NYC?
I'm from LA and am planning to go to NYC in 2 months. He wants to see me himself and diagnose me before proceeding to plan the implant. That means I have to make at least two trips to NYC? What about you is the implant scheduled or will you also have to make two trips?

The flights to NYC don't seem too expensive, but getting around in NYC is expensive and the hotels are also. I'm trying to figure out how to get money just to do that.

Have you considered just going upstate to Karpman? Sure is a lot closer & I think his self pay is on the reasonable end of the scale if it comes down to a self pay situation.

@GT1956 - No i have my heart set on Eid and i'll gladly pay and wait a bit. Plus i want penoscrotal incision.

@LBC - ah ok i think you will need to do some pre-op tests (EKG, etc) and the surgery wouldn't be scheduled for at least a couple of weeks after consultation i believe. Sounds like you'll be staying in NYC for that time.
