Implant issue AMS 700

Today I was pumping up my implant and nothing was happening. I wasn’t getting erect like usual. Something wasn’t right. I went to the release button to reset and held it for a couple seconds. Went back to pumping again now the pump was stuck totally collapsed. I felt down to the tubing only to find one of the tubes is twice the size of the others. I’m pretty sure it’s the tube going from resovoir to implant. Feeling further up the tube I find it to be totally collapsed. The fluid is stuck that point and everything behind the block is enlarged. I called on call surgeon and he said to call my normal doc on Monday. I’m freaking out. I had the implant done in March. The doc on phone said I might have to have it totally re done. The other thing I wanted to ask you all is when erect are you standing straight out erect? I wasn’t. I was erect not exactly rock hard and pointing straight done. I’m freaking.

Did you try resetting the device by pinching the two extreme ends of the "block" towards each other while hitting the deflate button? You need two hands for this : one to pinch either end of the block and the other to hit the deflate button. This should refill the bulb bring it back to normal. If youve already tried this, i would call customer service.

Omg. I know what happened. Part of the implant is suiting in my scrotum. I think it’s the rear section that goes back. Not what’s in the penis. I can feel the bag. Plus the hard part with the tip. How in the hell. It’s like when I was pumping it caused it to come out. How I have no idea. Now what. It’s all messed up.

I've read about that and it can happen when the implant is installed through penoscrotal incision and the sutures in one of the corporotomies break, causing the corporotomy to open up and the rear of the cylinder to fall out and drop into the scrotum. Hopefully that's not what happened but if so, you will need a revision to reseat the existing cylinder at a minimum and restitch the corporotomy to keep it from falling out again.

I’m pretty sure that’s what happened.

Is this something that happens in the first few months after the surgery while it is healing? Or is it something to worry about even after a few years of the implant surgery?

I'm not sure. That question might be a good one to ask an implant surgeon. As I recall, the OP (Meddman1) did just get his implant sometime late February/early March.

I did get it in March. Ok I know what it is after calmly looking and feeling everything. The implant came out of the right side of my penis. The entire right side is in my scrotum. Which to me means I need to get this fixed immediately. I don’t want that right cabal to heal or get scarring. If I get it re done now the trauma won’t be like it was when I initially hit it done. How can this have happened. All I was doing was pumping it up prior to sex. Not good. I can’t wait to talk to product rep. This is unacceptable.

From dr eid website. This can happen as a The cylinders can fall out of the penis into the scrotal sac if the opening of the tunica is not closed well. wtf.
