Today, I had consultation ( second opinion) with another implant urologist.
He spent talking with me 45 minutes. Very pleasant guy, no rush no pressure.
He examined my present implant and told me straight away that my right cylinder was buckling and that RTE is not in the place. After that he took a look at my MRI and said that he really wonders how tip of my right cylinder did not poke thru tunica albuginia. He also said that revision is necessary to correct right cylinder and to place RTE in the bottom of right cruse.
He brought both samples AMS CX and Titan. I had opportunity to touch both of them in inflated and deflated state and to feel difference.
Asked particularly about AMS LGX , if it would be right choice for me. He strongly advised to stay away from LGX model because of very common cylinder aneurisms which he replaced it multiple times.
Discussion was carried about AMS CX and Titan. He thinks that both models are good for my anatomy. My impression is that he would prefer me staying with another Titan, but when I asked about flaccid look, he totally agree that is more natural look and feel with CX.
He gave choice to me to make decision which one I want and let him know at least 10 days before surgery.
Surgery scheduled on August 19. He does implants as same day surgery and discharges patient from PACU to home.
My question to those who switched from Titan to AMS is: what is the biggest advantage with CX and how it compares in feeling and deflated look and angle My current Titan never went lower then 45 degrees or 4:30 o’clock.
Looking forward to hear from you guys and appreciate any comments and advice.

I've never had the Titan so I can't speak from experience but if you have the smaller pump on the Titan now (can't recall the name), you might not like the MS pump for the AMS. Did the doctor also show you the pumps between the two models? The valve block on the AMS is quite large and if you have a small scrotum and/or large testicles it may be a bit difficult or uncomfortable if you're used to the smaller Titan pump.
That said, I like my CX but it's all I know too.

Went from titan to lgx. Totally happy.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.

Waynetho,
Thanks for your response.
Yes, he showed both as complete unit with cylinders, pumps and reservoirs. I had opportunity to inflate and deflate both units. I felt cylinders and pumps on both. Since, I am familiar with Titan Touch pump, he explained in great details how MS works and most common trouble shooting when MS pump gets flat.
I would like to ask how flaccid is your flaccid and at what angle it points?
If it is to much asking, please disregard it.

Not at all... When deflated I hang at about 5 o'clock or about 30 degrees from down, 60 degrees below straight out. Of course I have a very short crus and slack suspensory ligament too so even inflated I don't hang higher than about 4:00 or 30 degrees below straight out.
I thought at first that my installation had been screwed up, thinking I had to have had a much higher hang in the past. I went through my one set of homemade masturbation videos from 1995, 25 years ago and discovered that I hung at about 3:30-4:00 with a raging erection, even back then. So I wasn't pointing to the ceiling by any stretch of the imagination.
I have one of the shorter CX implants though, 15 cm with no RTEs. The front of the rear tips are right at the base of my dick and since the proximal (crus) rigid portion of the CX is 5 cm and the distal (glans) rigid portion is 1 cm, that leaves only a 9 cm of expansion area or 3.54". My implant gets roughly 30 degrees of slack when deflated but a longer expansion area will get more hang, maybe 40-45 degrees or more. An 18 cm CX would have about 4.72" (12 cm) of expansion area so the extra length will allow more hang.
Also, a penile length of 6.5" or longer will tend to hang at a lower angle when deflated.

Re: Revision needed - AMSCX or Titan again?
Waynetho,
Thanks a lot for all details you mentioned in your reply.
I appreciate it.
Here is my point.
Every IPP make and model can satisfy my wife’s and mine needs.
We are using it 2-3 times per week for about and hour each time.
With 3 hours from 168 /week, I am mainly looking to be comfortable for the rest of 165 hours/ week.
With that in mind, I want to choose the type of implant that I will be comfortable in deflated state and that will mimic natural feeling as close as possible to my natural state before implant.
With my present Titan, I never had that natural feeling and acceptable angle in flaccid state.
My doc mentioned yesterday that CX model is narrower when fully inflated which is 19 mm compared to Titan which gives 21 fully inflated.
I would rather have a bit less of girth to gain more round shape in both states.
Knowing my above mentioned preferences, I would like to hear suggestions and personal experiences of others with AMS models?
Did not have time so far to go and research and find pictures of AMS models from other FT brothers who are recipients of AMS models.
Looking forward to here more.

Re: Revision needed - AMSCX or Titan again?
I have the AMS CX if you wanted to check out the pictures under my post.
Mine when pumped up is almost straight down with a little downward angle. And hangs down pretty close to straight down when deflated.
I'm still getting used to the bigger "flaccid" state. And it seems stiffer than my pre-implant dick. In addition I only occasionally do I notice the "dog ears" that others have mentioned. But then again my doctor told me it would take 18 months to 2 years before it all settles in.
Wife and I are actively using it at least 3 times a week and then I "exercise" it in between as well as cycling.
Not sure if I answered your question, but the 2 of us really like the implant

Be aware that unless you have some natural corporal tumescence (the corpora cavernosa still get a chubb erection), you probably will not see the "more round" you mention. You're still going to have two round tubes side-by-side in your dick which is not the same as having two semi-circular natural erectile bodies, so it will still be somewhat oval unless you add your own erection/tumescence to the mix. I get some but I'm still wider (left to right) than I am thick (top to bottom).
This will be the same regardless of which implant you get. If you bring some of your own to the table, you may get the roundness you seek. My deflated but aroused shape is round and a bit stiff (a little). My inflated but not aroused shape is oval.

Re: Revision needed - AMSCX or Titan again?
Hi guys.
I am getting closer to make my final choice.
I totally eliminated Titan because I was not satisfied with being semi erect 24/7 and never had lower angle then 45 degrees which was hard to hide while wearing scrubs or gym shorts.
Now, I am between 2 AMS models.
Still can’t make decision.
Will do more research especially about LGX but I am kind of afraid that LGX breaks easily.
Any imput that might help me to decide is appreciated .

MK, a totally unsolicited & non medical opinion. I understand your complaint with the Titan. So based upon those complaints. Why would you consider the CX? It is my understanding that the CX shares some of the same complaints that guys don't like about the Titan just at a lower level.
Whether we men like it or not. There really isn't a huge choice on which implant to get. Best of luck on your upcoming surgery.
