Hi at all,
I am a 24 years old young man with venous leak who is thinking about an implant but i am afraid of its lifespan since in Europe, prostheses are only guaranteed for 5 years and insurances do not pay the cost.. I have heard than an implant lasts about 15/20 years, but only if it use 1/2 times/week.How long does it really last in a young guy?
Thank you.

Coloplast has a lifelong quarantee. At least in Belgium. You only have to pay for the surgery.

My Titan conked out after I'd had it 10 years and never used it once. In 10 years I inflated it for a few seconds maybe 20 or 30 times. So you never know...

Be your own warranty guarantor.
The very next month after getting your implant, start putting away 1.7% of an implant's cost each month. After 5 years, you will have enough to get a replacement whenever it is needed.
Look at it this way: You can probably squeeze that much money from your entertainment budget (that you will now not have to spend on clothes, fancy restaurants or drinks to attract women).
I like to compare an implant to a fancy car. They cost about the same and have about the same service life. Which one gives you more fun or utility?

Wow! Using your method, 1.7% of my ~30,000 cost would be $510 per month... Of course if I only based it on my deductible ($3000) it would only be $51.00 per month.

LostSheep is correct. You can save for it with some small pain. Or borrow money when the time comes with bigger pain. It doesn't take very long to realize that borrowing costs more. It is the interest that you must pay for the loan.
Look at the banks profit picture. They pay savers 1% interest on the money on deposit. Then charge customers 18% on their credit cards. Many even charge more than the 18%. Now even that doesn't make them happy. They want a hefty (relative to payment) late charge if your payment is even a day late. Most banks have a poor reputation for a reason.

Re: 24 y/o, VL, lifespan AMS implant
I had an AMS for about 8 years, for the first couple of years I was married then got divorced, became a swinger and used it A LOT, at least once a week I would be all night having sex probably 6-8 times, other nights would be less active maybe 2 times but was rare to not fuck someone, it failed after 3-4 years of this, then In 17’ I had a new one put in, a Coloplast, was never happy with it now it is failing after 3 yrs, I’m glad to see it go, but It’s not just the implant, my first surgeon was much more practiced and I think just a better urologist, my 2nd surgeon was young and I just am not as impressed with him as a urologist, I don’t feel he did a very good job with the surgery, and it’s not the age I have a problem with, he just doesn’t impress me, what I’m saying is find a Urologist your comfortable with, do some research on the surgeon, I’m prejudiced against coloplast, I want an AMS back. The surgery itself is not a horrible experience, the idea is 10 times worse than the surgery, I’m ready to have it done again if it gets rid of this piece of shit I have now, after you get it done and you find out how incredible it is to be able to drive a nail with your dick and be hard on demand and stay hard until everyone is happy, the surgery and recovery (frozen peas are your friend) is such a small price to pay for what you get out of it, I’m sure I would still have my AMS if I didn’t have a midlife crisis and fuck everything that crossed my path (with the internet that’s a bunch of fucking)
