Hi all,
29 year old guy here. Dealing with Peyronie's-induced ED since I was 18.
Long story short, after years of depression I learned about implants and started focusing on my career and saving $$$. Once I finally saved the money, Covid-19 hit, and now I have no idea what to do. I was in contact with Dr. Kramer's office in Maryland just as the pandemic hit.
I don't want to pursue Canadian options as we do not have the high-volume surgeons of the US.
So since the USA is in complete disarray, it could be 1+ year before I can get the procedure done (not to mention the wait lists accumulated during the delay of Covid).
Are there other high volume surgeons in countries where the borders might open sooner, like the UK?
Is there a way to somehow manage to get an appointment with Eid or Kramer or another US specialist during the pandemic crisis (extremely unlikely).
Should I consider a Canadian surgeon, despite low volume, in order to at least get the surgery done without having to wait potentially for years for this to settle down?
Would love to hear your thoughts.

Re: 29 year old Canadian wondering about options during the pandemic
I saw Dr Hakky in Atlanta on June 8th and already have an appointment. Although the pandemic has slowed things down, they have not stopped or not in Georgia they haven't.
I could have had it done earlier but had personal conflicts.
I will have to be tested for Covid three days before my surgery but the surgery itself will be an out patient procedure. The surgeon said he didn't want me in the hospital any longer than necessary. If I can be of any other help please let me know. A young man like yourself shouldn't have to be without sex.

Thanks Mason. Interesting. Dr. Kramer's office apparently is only doing "emergency" cases right now, and moreover the US-Canada border is (to my knowledge) closed except for special cases.
As for being young -- believe me, I'll be making up for lost time once I get my implant. This disease fucked up my entire 20s, but my 30s are going to make up for it.

Re: 29 year old Canadian wondering about options during the pandemic
Let me relate my recent experience.
First off, I don't have any issues with traveling. I live in the western part of America. I think that my search has shown me that I can find a good, skilled, decent volume surgeon within about 1,000 miles. This June I had an appointment with Dr. Brant in Utah. Brant seems to fit my needs but unfortunately at this point in time I can't spare any time for surgery.
So much for the lead up. Dr. Brant explained that most hospitals have ICU capacity at the moment. But, they want to keep some unused rooms in case they are needed unexpectedly. How does this fit into a penile implant. The surgery review board at the hospital knows that there is some small chance that a surgery patient may require an ICU room. They are sorting surgery cases & only letting the most serious get a surgery time. Of course, Brant points out. That getting a surgical room for an implant is difficult. His comment was to the effect that he does around 150 implants a year. This Coronavirus problem means he may only do 100 this year.
Most of his implant surgeries are being done at a sugery center that only accepts minor operations. I was told that I could get into the surgical center with maybe only a slight delay.
I'm sorry for the long post. But all is not lost for you. I would suggest to select your surgeon. Talk with his staff & see what their best guess for a date might be. If the virus can be controlled a bit better then I'm sure that more surgery possibilities will open up. If you are planning on a USA surgery. It is my opinion that you might be able to move the odds in your favor a little bit. Some states have had far more Coronavirus cases than others. By selecting a surgeon in a less affected state. You might get a faster date. In watching the news. It looks like New York & New Jersey might be ones to avoid. I'm sure that there are others in a similar position.
Best of luck. Don't worry. This to shall pass.

I wish you the very best my young friend. I know you will enjoy your new dick, when you heal. I would have liked to be able to have sex on demand as a young man and stay hard even after you cum. You're gonna impress a lot of partners LOL. Mike

I am having an AUS installed this week at USC Keck hospital. My implant dr is doing the operation. USC Keck in Los Angeles is a teaching hospital and not impacted with covid cases. My dr said my operation was not even considered elective because I needed it for quality of life. I wonder if an implant is also considered a quality of life operation. You may consider Keck as a west coast alternative.

Eustinas, I think Oldbeek offers up a good insight you might want to explore. I think that more ideas would get posted if we had an idea what part of Canada you live in. That would affect how easy & the cost to travel to the USA would be for you. It's hard to suggest doctors or hospitals if the travel is beyond your reach.
Btw, Los Angeles is a nice place. By using one of the ride sharing companies moving around should be ok. Back when I first visited there I had to use a map to get anywhere. Now most phones make that a lot easier.

The elective surgery thing is crazy. The virus is here to stay you can't close down medical procedures forever.
28 year old with severe lifelong ED.
Implanted in New Delhi on 26/12/19 with AMS CX (15x12) + 4cm RTE
Post op length 4.5 inches from ~ (5.5 to 6) inches. Disappointed!
Wish to have a revision to LGX some day.

I have made some people very upset when I've pointed that out. Humans, despite our knowledge, have truly eliminated very few, if any, virus's. Even ones that we think that we've defeated. It seems that every once & a while it will return in some corner of the world.
I did a quick search of smallpox & polio. Both diseases that I remember being treated for as a child. I remember the huge push to eradicate them. A quick search says that they both occur at a rate of less than 1,000 per year. The world had been vaccinating for both of them for around 60 years.

Everything is shut down here in the UK too. The waiting lists are going to be horrendous. I'm in your very same position.
There's no easy answer. There should have been more nuance though I feel.
There are people over here dying because of lack of cancer care. Including children, old folks with worn out hips.
