Deflate issue

Postby Hrc714 » Sun Jul 05, 2020 3:47 pm

Didnt see this one coming. To smooth out the dog ears, i typically go 30 to 40 percent inflated. That is just enough to fill out the kinks. When at work, i would fully deflate so it did not show (much). In the era of work from home, I tended to leave it even more inflated. Now heading back out in something other than cargo shorts after 3 months, I have found I cannot deflate below 50 percent. I get the click and the buzz, but the resivoure looks to have been encapsulated and will not expand. I tried laying the penis on a counter and leaning on it with near full weight and still very pumped. I am afraid of blowing a gasket, so to speak. Anyone have this type of issue? Thoughts on overcoming?

Do you have AMS LGX or AMS CX? Please update your signature to reflect that.
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.

I would suspect that the reservoir can encapsulate no matter what the implant is. But the mention of dog ears leads one to presume that a CX was used.

I lost the card, but believe it is a CX, as LGX does not come in 24 cm length. I need to see how to get a new card.

Cards are easy to come by (AMS can supply one in your choice of languages). What will be difficult is that the product stickers that are placed on the card by the doctor or medical team aren't on a new card. It's possible the products are on record at AMS (Boston Scientific) and they can print the needed sticker for your products but short of that, the card will be empty.

Call the Patient Liaison and see if they have a record of what you received. You should at least be able to get a verbal confirmation on the cylinder type, length, RTE's and pump type, as well as whether they were IZ coated or not.

Are dog ears not common in LGX?

The LGX is a softer, more flexible material. It is my understanding that they can get dog ears. Just not as often & they are not as prominent.
Oh, I forgot to add that I recently ran into a very old post by a guy who had a crease at a dog ear in his LGX finally leak thus requiring a revision.
Oops again. It is a recent post.
