Will they perform an implant procedure if you have a UTI?
66 years old. Implant 7/8/2020. Titan touch 22 cm plus 1 rte.

They usually won't do the surgery anytime the patient has ANY kind of infection even in a different part of the body. Being between your bladder and your penis makes it more of a certainty that they will reschedule until the infection is completely healed. They usually will err on the side of caution because any infection can be bad if it gets into the surgical incision.

Absolutely not and you don't want them to do it.
Make sure that you get a strong antibiotic to get rid of the UTI then a urine culture would need to ensue once you complete the medication course to ensure that there is no more infection.

No, and any they should be doing urinalysis prior to surgery. Since preop meds are usually preop Vancomycin, gentamycin and even fluconazole , the big guns are needed to prevent ant postop infections. Infections and implants are a major issue. Just having diabetes can increase risk of getting infection after. Or revision, increased risk. So, preop infection is a no go.
