34 Year Old w/ Recent Peyronie's

Postby LuisFernandez » Sat Jun 27, 2020 2:20 am

Hi All,

This is my first post here, but have been lurking for the past month.
Here's a little bit about my story. I took finasteride for 2 years for hair loss.
About two months ago i started to encounter ED where i couldn't have sex with my wife. Up until then i had ED but never really thought much of it. I just though i was masturbating too much.

This time though, the ED was pretty sudden. I was having anal sex with my wife when i felt my erection just go away. That day i quite finasteride cold turkey and had a sever crash the following weeks. I believe i am a sufferer of PFS.

Before that i had noticed how my dick had become like a noodle and was hard to keep an erection. I had to hold it by the base to be able to masturbate. I hadn't really thought much of it and continued to masturbate.

Anyway, after that day i couldn't get an erection for about three weeks. I was freaking out but couldn't get a doctor's appointment because of my inexperience navigating the medical system, even though I have PPO insurance. I was finally able to get an erection, in fact it was the best erection of my life. However, after that day i started having pain all over my penis and little nodules started popping up. I couldn't get another erection for a week or so, and when i did it curved to the left and i freaked out and was finally able to see a urologist.

They diagnosed me with Peyronie's disease. It's been two months since. I was prescribed the usual cocktail of Pentox, Cialis, and L-Citruline. Over the past few months the disease. has gotten worse. I have had 4 different nodules in my penis and i have a curve to the left and about a 15-20 degree dorsal curve.

You can find more details in the Peyronie's forum: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.ph ... 489.0.html and the Propecia Help forum: https://forum.propeciahelp.com/t/34-yea ... s/43795/39

The curve is disturbing to me but the ED has only gotten worse. Lately even 5mg cialis is not giving me nighttime erections. I'm barely able to hit 7 inches erection this morning, but they're short lived erections. I cannot have sex with my wife anymore.

Today i'm noticing my penis skin loose and more wrinkly and i know for a fact im starting to lose length. Up until now i hadn't done much traction or VED due to fear of aggravating things. I've lost hope that things will get better. I don't want to waste more time trying out viagra, injections, etc.

I have talked this over with my brother and i'm encouraged to just get the implant right away. I refuse to allow this disease take more length away from me. I have decided to get an implant.

My insurance has a stipulation where i must have Peyronie's and ED for a year before i qualify. But I don't care. I will try to appeal saying that the longer i wait the more distress i'm in, that cialis causes side effects (vision), etc. I still doubt they'll help me. But my brother is willing to help me and i can get a credit card to pay for this.

My wife doesn't want me to get it and wants me to 'wait it out'. But i don't care what she thinks. This is my penis.

So, after being unable to get an erection and seeing my skin start to get wrinkles i've decided to get an implant ASAP. I've already talked to Dr. Kramer's office and they estimated a 4 week wait time which is pretty good. I would love to go with Dr. Eid. I've heard he's a little bit more aggressive with sizing. I'm willing to do cycling.

However, i haven't talked to Dr. Eid yet and not sure what the wait time would be.

But as of now all i want is to keep my current length of 7 inches. If i can get rid of the curves and the wasting i'd be very happy with 7 inches and a straight penis.

I'm thinking a Titan 26cm would be best. I can take the pain and cycle, i will mention this to the doctor.
I've come here to just vent and tell my story and my decision. I have a few questions:

* Should i do more aggressive VED, been very careful up until now not ever hitting a full erection
* I've ordered a RestoreX - it'll be here on Tuesday, is it smart to use that a bit more aggressively

The risk is that i'm at the acute stage and if i aggravate it and cause inflammation and there's a delay (e.g. Covid) then i will cause further shortening.

You can see some pictures of my penis - both old and new here: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.ph ... 694.0.html
As you can see i can hit 7 inches stretched and with an erection. But i'm scared by the time the doctor measures me i would have lost some erect length due to very poor erections.

Sorry that this post is kind of all over the place but just a lot has happened in the last two months. I'm also on a diet with a BMI of 26%. I'm trying to get it down ASAP in preparation for my operation. Does it make a big difference?

Thanks a lot brothers and please let me know your thoughts and opinions. I'm willing to be the guinea pig for getting an implant so soon after Peyronie's diagnosis. I know guys that wait and wait and some get better most get worse.

Thanks!

If you have an implant they will want you tto use a pennis pump prior to the surgery. You might as well start pumping now to preserve your length

If you use a penis pump. Follow the instruction & don't use too high of vacuum or you'll cause different damage. In your excited state, it would be easy to add more problems to what you already have.
Could you of bent your penis during sex. That can cause an injury that may or may not heal. Basically a broken dick.
Btw, even with an implant. By having peyronies disease. It is likely that you may lose some length. Peyronies is a condition that is tough to overcome based upon what I've read. Many times, the delays accepting treatment or getting insurance coverage can allow it to get worse. The scar tissue on the inside curve of the bend contracts & is difficult to get back to it's original length. Just the fact of straightening it does not lengthen it.
Also, remember that the insurance company or your doctors care very little about your dicks length. Their goal is to get you straight & hard enough for penetrative sex. Best of luck to you.

Strange it's common for pfs to have a bend to the left. Mostly it's not peyronies.

Thanks everyone,

I'm being very careful with the pump. I don't want to cause more issues. Trying manual traction, lightly also until RestoreX gets here.

Really I wouldn't consider an implant if i didn't think my penis was getting worse and worse. I can feel 4 different nodules all over my penis. I know based on the first nodule i got that it progresses and starts to to deform the penis.

The plan for this week is:

* Apply for loan(s)
* Ramp up workouts
* Continue low-carb and low-calorie diet
* Tell urologist Cialis 5mg is not giving me nighttime erections anymore
* Schedule consultation with Dr. Eid

These days in the morning i can get up watch porn and get erections, but i can't stay fully erect for long. It makes it hard to measure as well as by the time i take a picture i'm starting to get soft.

I will continue to log my progress here. I can't start a GoFundMe because you can't be anonymous, and this isn't something i want to be public about.

Here are a few pictures i took today. As you can see the top of my penis is really unhealthy and i can feel scar tissue on the top. The curve to the left is not bad, but you can't see the curve upward which has robbed me of length.

My biggest question is: Dr. Kramer or Dr. Eid. There are pros and cons with each. Eid is really the best, a bit more expensive. Also it's risky with Covid and Peyronie's. The long wait can be bad because of Peyronie's and if Covid causes a shutdown then i'm shit out of luck. With Kramer i can have the operation in as little as 4 weeks, but i do see people talk about problems with Kramer in this forum so that makes me apprehensive.

However, with consistent traction and a good protocol perhaps i can even regain a few centimeters before the operation. In which case a month delay wouldn't be so bad. But it's a gamble to wait or not wait.

I've watched all of Kramer's videos and the ones that Eid has. Eid just looks to go slower more precise. His equipment looks to be higher quality and stitches seem to be cleaner.

I would plan to stay a few weeks after the operation in case of infection. I believe Eid offers warranty if that happens. Covid really throws a wrench into things though.

Honestly, if i can keep at 6'5 and gain some girth i'd be happy. If i can regain my 7' and girth i'd be ecstatic.

This might be a dumb question, but if insurance covers it then why is Eid more expensive than Kramer? Any why would you need a loan? Are they concierge doctors?

Since all photos were top-down images, I'm guessing that the curve if visible is either an upturn or a downturn that can't be seen in a top-down photo.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm not 100% the insurance will cover the implant. I have Anthem Bluecross PPO (California) and they have a restriction that must have ED/PD for 1 year before being eligible. I've only been experiencing ED since March/April when i told my doctor about it.

This is why i'm trying to secure funding for the operation because i highly doubt the insurance will pay for any of it.

About the curve, i'll try to take some picture of the upward curve. It's really not that bad i'd say 15 degrees or so. The worse part is the ED coupled with the Peyronie's. They both cause shortening and hurting my family and mental health so I want to cure both.

My main concern is of course length. I see good and bad accounts and I'm frankly scared to lose length.

Thanks!

I think that I've already mentioned that peyronies can frequently lead to some length loss. Is it a sure thing to lose. Probably not. But sounds like you are still in the mild stage of it.
My suggestion is that since your first visit with your doctor was in the March/April time frame. I would suggest that you should make sure that his notes from that visit reflects something to the effect that the patient says that this was notice (fill in a month). You can't back date your medical records. But you can make sure that they accurately reflect your onset of a problem. Once these records go to your insurance company for review for an implant approval. You might just get lucky that they use the date that you noticed the problem. That could give you a head start on your one year requirement.
In all honesty. You are more likely to get approved faster for insurance coverage than raising the funds yourself. As for borrowing the money. With this Corona virus problem going on now. If you was to get pushed into part time status, laid off or even get your credit score lowered. Borrowing might be difficult. Work the insurance first. Make sure that you tell the doctor everything & get the timelines correct. Don't skip or miss any appointments either.
