Chronic itch inside - tubing/connector adhesions

Postby Waynetho » Fri Jun 12, 2020 7:52 pm

I'm not really looking for help with my issue - but I wanted to get it out there in case others have encountered a similar situation with theirs. As to help, I really don't think there's a problem per se but rather a normal "encapsulation" or "adhesion" scenario going on and the "issue" I experience is directly related.

What I'm experiencing is itching, sometimes very intense, on the left side of my penis base and scrotum, and to a lesser degree on the right side. It's not the actual skin of the penis and scrotum but rather the tissues inside, underneath the skin. What I am discovering is that where the tubings exit the corpora on the outer edges of my proximal penis, and where the reservoir tubing routes around the left side next to the cylinder tubing, the connectors that join the tubing together are becoming attached to the tissues underneath.

Since the tubing to my pump is quite short and runs straight down from the corporotomies to the pump, anything that pushes up on the pump like sitting cross-legged with pump & scrotum laying on my ankle, causes pulling or pushing on these connectors which have attached themselves to my tissues. This apparently causes micro-tears in the adhesions and that's what itches.

So does anybody else know that their tubing and/or the quick connect splices have attached to the underlying tissues and under the right conditions will cause them any itching.

From what I’ve read that itching is caused by the tissue repair and will lessen at it repairs. Hang in there, you’re doing fine!!

Waynetho...I also had adhesion 'issues' and lots of sitting discomfort for quite a few months after my procedure in November 2018. However, after nearly two years post-op, I can say that nearly all the 'newness feeling' of my gear has dissipated. I had occasional itching but nothing like what you are experiencing. As most others have said, and continue to say, time will undoubtedly lessen those irritations as your body accepts and adapts to the objects inside. Yes, I still feel every inch of the tubing connecting my 3-piece Titan Touch but, I guess, I am mentally "over it". I am confident that you will be too...all in good time. Hang in!
