Hi, guys, first of all, sorry for my poor english, I’m not a native speaker. I googled about my situation and just stumble over the forum.

I’m in my thirties and it’s been 3 years since I was implanted by a Titan OTR. I was loving this thing, it’s incredible, all perfect ... up to 1 week ago.

1 week ago was the last time I had sex. In the middle of sex I notice that I was losting the rigidity. Little by little to be honest, at very slow rate, but I could pick up on it. One or two pumps at every 5 minutes was sufficient to maintain. At the fifth “repump”, I pressed the pump bulb normally but the pump didn’t come back to its “oval shape”. It stayed “smashed”, “crushed”, and I couldn’t be able to pump anymore. The sex finished, I deflated normally and I tried to forget about it, imagining it was just an one-time thing. When I pressed the deflated button, the pump bulb “uncrushed” and got back to normal.

Yesterday I tried to pump it again and at the sixth or seventh pump the same above happened. The pump bulb stayed “smashed” and didn’t come back to normal. Normally I pump 20-25 times to get it up for sex. So... failed. I deflated and now I’m very cautious to try out again and only make matters worse.

Any of you heard or read about that problem? I’ll very happy if anyone can give a 2 cents on this.

It honestly sounds like you may have developed a leak and you don't have a full reservoir of saline anymore. Have you talked to your urologist about this?

Yeah, Waynetho. He said I need to go visit him, but probably I'll have to make a replacement. Unfortunately he is very far away from me now and due to covid I think i can't make it in the next few weeks or even months.

But I'd like to know if someone here was in the same boat and if it's in fact necessary to replace the whole thing. Thanks for your input.

I've not been in your situation before but I've seen others who have. The answer will depend on where the leak is and how your doctor handles revisions. Some doctors will just fix the leaky tubing connector or replace the pump that broke, but others will insist on a complete revision, replacing everything. If you get "replacement parts" (such as pump), keep in mind that you will keep the same brand of implant. If your cylinder is causing the leak, the entire implant will likely need to be replaced. I don't think a surgeon would typically replace one cylinder even for the same size, without replacing both at the same time, along with the pump and possibly the reservoir.

I keep reading all these stories about titan pump issues, tubing issues, way more compared to AMS, is that a fair assessment? Dr. Kramer's videos seem to have a lot of Titan pump failure revisions.

Just had an AMS LGX replaced for the same reason at 2.5 years. Doc replaced me with a titan and the original pump

What's your doctor explanation on it, dcmusc? A leak, like our friend above said?

Yep. Turns out it was the tubing running to the right cylinder.

My friend, our issue seems to be the same and also the date of the first implant is similar. Incredible!

The difference is I was implanted with a Titan and I believe that I will be replaced with one as well.

I just read you post in the topic "Recovery from Revision", telling about your recovery.

My question to you: do you think your length after the cycling process will be bigger than prior to revision? And between the failed pump and the surgery, what did you do to avoid penis retraction? I read some people do stretches and even hanging. You did something like that?

Do you have any other tip for me about this issue? Thanks!
