Injection Vs implant?

Postby Username1 » Sat May 16, 2020 2:55 pm

Also posted on the Injection board.
Trying to decide.
Viagra and counter parts no longer work.
Injection works for me.
Is it worth it to have an implant?
Or stick, no pun intended, with injections?

I personally believe (and did) use injections when pills failed.
They worked well for several years until they didn't.
I did have to keep upping the dosages.

I think as long as you don't develop a curve or scarring, it's the way I'd go (and did).

I too am really interested in this.

Some people say an implant is the last case scenario...

But so many others seem to say "I should have done it earlier."

IMO, it is worth to stay with injections as long as they work and as long as they cause problems like PD.
It is worth using all available options before jumping to implant.
Implant is one way street with no way back.
If I didn’t have prostate cancer and 100% impotence after prostate removal with nothing working satisfactorily to have a normal sex again, I would never look into implant. Before prostate removal, I never tried Cialis or Viagra because I never needed it.

I can see how these two quotes can confuse you. The problem is that the treatments gradually stop working. So men keep hoping that the treatment will work one more time. Realizing that that you have crossed the line to an implant as the only option left is difficult to make.

In my humble understanding..and I am still reseraching..the decision is yours based on your situation.

If you have a long term SO with whom you are open with and also can plan every sexual encounter to wait and prepare for the injections, the pain is tolerbale and the injections work for you then ..I dont see any huge benefit right now in moving to an implant.

However if you want spontaneous sex anytime anywhere without planning and pain and you dont want your sexual partner to know..then an implant is a better option.

Read my lips! NOTHING BEATS A BLOOD FILLED DICK. Injections give a nice fat glans that is super sensitive to touch. On the rest of your dick, You have throbbing blood vessels full of nerve endings also. I had extreme pain with trimix and started to have PD. Wish I could have stayed with injections. Now I have a barely alive anemic dick stretched over 2 hard cylinders. Barely enough feeling to get an orgasm.

From what I’ve learned I would say go for the implant, do the 3-piece, always gets hard as a diamond....always, but it a big jump, do the shots, works well, has some downfalls but gives a good hard cock, after a while you can always step up from a ford to a Cadillac, there is a failure rate, sometimes it just doesn’t get hard enough, after you cum once that’s it, you can’t re-inject for round 2, sometimes you hit a blood vessel and you end up with a huge bruise on your cock....but they work but also there are times when you inject and things get messed up, your cock goes limp and that’s it for the night, plus when you have company surprise you it’s awkward to hand someone a beer with a raging, pulsing lump in your pants, and it’ll be there for 45min to 1 hr. But, shots are the logical next step and there is nothing wrong with them

i did injections for a decade , they often worked really well. The glans hardness was really enjoyed by my wife. The lack of spontaneity was terrible (ie, sex needed to be planned, it was always a big deal to rise to the occasion for her and me).

The implant means we can have sex whenever. A quickie before a night out, or a long session after my birthday dinner. I have no fear that I will have needle problems at a time that she is in the mood. And the iplant is 100 percent reliable.I am thrilled that I do not have to plan to have my "injectable things" with me .

THat being said, I do not think I would have had the courage to go implant unless I knew that injections were failing.

So, pills-->injections-->stronger injections with cock ring-->implant

that is the sequence I chose, and I am ok with that, though my wife wishes I had done it sooner, but she has not been reading all the implant problems that we read here on franktlak.

Im using injections for now.
1- they work for me. 10 units of trimix gives me a 1.5hr very firm erection
2- it’s affordable. Its costing me about $4 an injection
3- my insurance doesnt cover the surgery. Im saving for the surgery and also investigating other health ins plans that may cover it or part of it.
4- surgery has risks, no matter how safe or who does it how many times. Id rather let the trimix run its course

I know that eventually the trimix will stop working. I will reassess at that time.
